My Brother's Blood Machine is a fairly satisfying listen, but fails to leave enough of a mark on you. The album was recorded over a period of 7 years, and it occasionally shows, as certain songs seem disjointed. However, the musicianship is solid, the songs are fun, and the album is enjoyable enough to give my reccomendation for.

I wasn't expecting another C&C release, but the songs most reminiscent of Claudio's full band are the only songs that work very well; his songs that experiment with electronics are subpar. I would describe half of these tracks as fantastic and the other half, regrettably, as awful; the worst kind of mixed bag.

Okay, this officially is the biggest letdown of the year. After rediscovering this band and loving the hell out of Claudio's comics as well as C&C's most recent The Afterman: Ascension I thought this would be gold as well, but I guess the dream had to end somewhere. I WANT CROONS!!! NOT HIGH-PITCHED WHISPERS CLAUDIO!!!!!! 2.4/5

A very intriguing album concept. Can keep you occupied for quite some time trying to figure out the exact story line but when you do, the album just gets that much better.

Claudio said that this project was supposed to be 1/2 Bjork and 1/2 Iron & Wine. I see the Bjork sometimes, but not really the Iron & Wine so much.
I think this album is a neat little spin, but sometimes the synths sound way too "Casio-keyboard-demo" thin.
Also, it will never be as good as Coheed.
