This album has it high points with "My Darkness", a would be single if they had any kind of fan base. The deep vocals with the pretty good clean vocals(its not whinney, but gets close sometimes). The songs are very catchy, but they are nothing orginal but fun to listen to. Their song writeing is interesting with a good mixture of breakdowns and some decent solos. If you like Haste the Day You will probably like these guys

This is the perfect example of shitty metalcore. Absolutely no originality here.

When I first heard this band I was a metal noob and thought metalcore was the best thing since tap water. Now I realise its mediocrity with repetitve song structures, an inaudible bass, overusage of bad breakdowns and boring drumming. Despite a few tracks that counter this, all that Saints has going for it are catchy guitar hooks and somewhat interesting vocals.

Destroy the Runner's debut album is a catchy but mediocre introduction in the metalcore era. Even though there are stand-out songs such as "My Darkness", the songs seem to be chained together and can't seem to differentiate themselves among the rest. The raw elements is maybe what adds to this, but breakdowns and riffs are present, as well as the occasional solo. As a first album it is pretty good and the vocals add emotion and catchiness.
