Vildhjarta continue to prove that they're one of the few bands in the djent scene that actually have something original to say. Thousands of Evils may be fragmented and is certainly weird as hell, but at least they aren't writing riffs to provoke a reaction on a fucking dance floor.

Really disappointed with this album. They refuse to utilize their talent, or progress their
sound whatsoever. I could barely differentiate the songs from one another. It isn't 'prog'
if they're not progressing, and sounding like every other 'djent' band out there. *sigh*

It's not on the same level as TesseracT's and Uneven Structure's releases this year, but Vildhjarta release a solid djent EP that shows that they know what they are doing.

I dislike the production on this one, it features way too many highs. Especially the cymbals sound terrible. Aside from that it's a nice CD and Vildhjarta showcases great, creative songwriting as always.

Great in some parts, not so great in others. I thought the keyboard in Masstaden was excellent, which appears to be missing from this EP. Last three tracks are the best part of the album for sure. One thing is clear, Vildhjarta are one of the few "djent" bands (like Tesseract) mixing things up in an original way. At any rate, I trust their next album will be killer.

Short, sharp, and well-paced, "Thousands of Evils" is a solid follow-up to "Masstaden" and an intriguing prelude to what will no doubt be another monster of an album.
