I'm officially giving this title the AOTC award.... the Album of the Century. Each and every track is great, although the standout tracks (for me, at least) are track 07 (There Is Only One God And His Name Is Death) and track 11 (Starving for Friends). Anyone who says this album sucks is usually a Jonny hater. No matter how good it is, they will say otherwise. Not because the music is bad, but because of their personal feelings towards Jonny, which is stupid. You don't do the same with actors, do you now? If Jake Gyllenhaal was a terrible human being.. would you still call Donnie Darko a lame movie, just because of Jake's personality? No, you wouldn't. AOTC. I'm calling it.

Through Art We Are All Equals is certainly Jonny Craig's project through and through. It ends up being a question of how much you enjoy his vocals, because instrumentally speaking there simply isn't much going on here. Most of what is going on here has a second-rate Emarosa feel to it, but the good news is the lyrics on here are much more honest and revealing than on past projects. "Starving For Friends" is certainly a highlight with Craig intoning, "I miss the days of being on fire". Vocally we haven't seen Craig this good in awhile, and this album seems the stepping stone that was necessary in order for him to release a truly impressive album in the future. Though the highlights are fantastic on this, too many of the middle songs sound similar and create a plodding tempo throughout.

If you're familiar with any of his other projects, then you basically know what to expect here. Maybe a little more 'experimental' or whatever, but basically the same.

record rules, stop bitchin'. "Starving For Friends" may possibly be the best post-hardcore song in a really long time - "Those Who Stand For Nothing Fall For Everything" falls just a little bit short in that regard. also, who of you guys knew that their drummer was in Four Letter Lie and that jonnys sister can sing too, hm? I bet no one. now hush hush, off with you to hipster-hateland. and don't forget to hide your precious macbooks, because the king is finally back on track.

anyone familiar with bands like I the Mighty, Hands like Houses and Emarosa know exactly what to expect here.
you have your bouncy djenty choruses, mellow clean guitar versus and scream less breakdowns that would all
be considered below average if not for Jonny Craig powering through one, crooning over the next and of course
doing his vocal gymnastics where other bands would have played out harsh vocals. rIt works though and...
honestly who expected this to be anything other than Jonny Craig feat. generic post hardcore band Slaves? if
you enjoyed his run with Dgd, Emarosa or listened to his solo stuff and thought 'this would be great if these edm
beats weren't so shitty' than you will find something to like about this.
edit: I failed to mention that this is some of Craig's best work since DBM IMO. he absolutely kills it

Their cover of Sweater Weather is amazing. Jonny obviously dominates the album. The instruments aren't too noticeable, reminiscent of Isles and Glaciers(Orgasmic vocals but sub-par instrumentals) Starving for Friends is the standout closer, and it was nice to hear Vic's crooning voice on this record.

Great album, obviously an outstanding singer and musicians. the guitar lines are pretty similar but they sound good. the one thing that lets down this album is after 3 or 4 tracks the tone of the overdriven guitars becomes slightly bland but watch this space they have huge potential

As usual, the majority of Jonny's melodies are a miss. But the real deal breaker is the
lack of any interesting instrumentation, which leaves the album resting solely on Craigs
talented vocals. It isn't enough. As a huge fan of DBM2 and Emarosa self-titled I am sorely
underwhelmed and disappointed.

A Perfect example of jonny craig. Every song has deep lyrical content and contains a strong message. The music perfectly soothes the ears along with jonny Craigs clean vocals. This is album of the year for sure. WAY BETTER THAN EMAROSA.
