Fantastic album and a huge step in the right direction after the praise they gained from Dingir.
The album can be a huge clusterfuck but the sweeps and solos are all there and Ian is in top notch
with his vocals! The album is just plain fun even if it can be tiresome to listen to as well as
chaotic at times, but it still a well nice follow up to Dingir, possibly exceeding it.
I gotta give it 9 out of 10 anal probes.

New song is sick. Improved in every single area, guitars, drums, vox and songwriting. There is even awesome atmos-fear throughout the track. Being a fan of their previous work this is still very suprising and band who seem to be realizing their full potential. Death Metal AOTY is a huge possibility.

what's it even matter how good you can play if all the good playing you do is the most annoying weedle weedle fleepy floop nonsense. lol Rings of Saturn is basically Necrophagist with no good songs, or a living example of how not to write technical death metal.

I was a fan of Rings Of Saturn's previous albums, but this is simply more of the same. It's fast and technical as all get out, but therein lies the problem. This album relies way too much on "let's see how fast we can play our instruments," and is all style, no substance. I hope that ROS will, in the future, learn to actually construct songs and bring some substance to the table, rather than just play fast for the sake of playing fast. Some good moments, but not as good as it could have been. 4.5/10

after the looking at the glorified technical aspects of the album there is nothing really there to keep my interest, its like looking at someone in the air thinking their floating then realizing that they will fall flat on their face

Rings of Saturn stay where they feel comfortable, which is a disappointment. Not really being innovative or taking risks in making something we haven't heard yet. Guitar work is still on par and the lyrics are pretty good. There's nothing much different from their older material here but a decent album in the least.

It's damn fine tech death, possibly dethroning Fallujah as my favorite TD from 2014. Much like their last album, it rinitially sounds like a clusterfuck of wankery, but contains some of the tightest song structures yet from these rguys in a genre that seriously lacks compositional chops. Haven't decided on a rating yet, but it's a super fun rlisten.

Its just what you'd expect from Rings Of Saturn honestly. Its basically ridiculous amount of sweep picking at mega high speeds with tons of breakdowns thrown in between. Every now and then there are jazzy interludes but its basically Dingir 2.0 thats just even crazier.
