While most bands would have released two or three albums in the time it took The Weakerthans to record Reunion Tour, this album was well worth the wait. The songs are simple, beautiful and flow together wonderfully creating the band's most cohesive album to date. Though the songs aren't as sharp as they were on Left and Leaving and there is no concept in sight (which made Reconstruction Site a wonderful album rather than a mere great one), Reunion Tour delivers with consistancy, passion, and songs that are meaningful, introspective and, most importantly, well written. Standouts: Hymn of the Medical Oddity, Tournament of Hearts, Virtute the Cat Explains her Departure, Bigfoot! and Utilities.
