Sitting in my office, wearing my Halo 2 hoodie, rocking out to Atreyu like it's 2005. Fun record.

Atreyu's story is a neverending one, that's for sure. The melodic metalcore act's newest album is a suitable comeback, even though Long Live is basically business as usual for the band. It's an improvement over their last two records, and I'd like to consider it a proper sequel to 2006's A Death-Grip On Yesterday; effort #6 is just as enjoyable (if not better than) as that release IMO. The material doesn't leave much to the imagination, so just anticipate a fun metalcore romp that demonstrates Atreyu's ability to get down to the nitty-gritty. Sometimes it's great to relive that period when you were a snot-nosed adolescent, believe it or not.

The harsh vocals are hard to endure because the vocalist clearly blows at this point, but aside from that, this is simply a phenomenal rock metal record. Moments Before Dawn, Do you know who you are?, and a bitter broken memory are pretty decent.

album. Not the most ground breaking but definitely the much needed sequel to "Death Grip". Glad to
have these guys back.

fantastic return to form. there is a bit of each past album in this making it well rounded. only weak points is alex's half scream/half yell hybrid thing in a couple of songs can get old quick, and mark's bass gets swallowed by guitars.. again. other than that solid song writing. easily the best album they released since deathgrip.
