Diabolical Masquerade's 1998 Off-kilter classic delivers tight melodic riffs, keyboards not as a crutch, but as an extremely well executed element, great rasps, extremely well written songs, and an extremely enjoyable listen throughout every time. Nightwork is an exceptionally unique and especially enjoyable album. 4.25/5. (It sucks that I can't actually give it that, sput needs to adopt .25 rating intervals IMO)

Rarely have I ever listened to black metal, but Nightwork by Diabolical Masquerade manages to be a sensational album. The brooding, rasp vocalization and the intricate musicianship are nearly close enough to making this a classic in my book.
