Turn the Radio Off is the best album from one of the best live bands around, Reel Big Fish. This is one of the first pure ska albums to break into the mainstream, as the bands catchy hooks and sense of humor launched them into stardom for a few years. Behind all the goofy lyrics, upbeat horns and deep basslines lies a thick layer of cynicism that can be surprising at times, as Aaron finds a way to turn pretty much anything into a negative. It can be an odd fit with all the corniness going on, but there are quite a few excellent tracks on here, and the band is capable of making great songs without horns, often relying on more of a hardcore type of sound. It's a fun, silly album. Best songs are Sell Out, Snoop Dogg Baby, Beer, Everything Sucks, All I Want is More and Nothin'.
