Another album full of R&B lines and pop ballads disguised as rap anthems. He's at his best when he's pulling out rock-inspired songs (how phat is "Better Now"). Oh, and, surprise! This is way too long.

I don't know the 'persona' of Post Malone and i have no knowledge of why he is so hated today. But in relation to his music, it seems that he even lives up to this imposed fame. "Beerbongs and Bentleys" was a long awaited album, from what i read here, but jesus... what a dull thing to listen to. There are 18 songs in here, and 17 of them are basically the same. Post delivers a acoustic song too, which is totally disposable. To be honest, the first track is pretty good, but when it started to be recycled into other songs, it bothered me a lot.

The album has too many tracks with some being so hazey that it can get dull. However, the emotional gravitas of his vocals show a lot of diversity in his range on a lot of the tracks (including the party tracks) that you'll believe everything he says he means. It's not a groundbreaking album, but it's an outstanding improvement for him with some of the catchiest lines all thanks to his flow and the layers he puts into each track. A mixed bag overall, but Post Malone's earned appeal is not unwarranted with the quality that's here.

Album is pretty long, and definitely has some less than stellar songs. Still, it's very well produced, post Malone showcases some interesting vocal styles and some great aesthetic sensibility. rIt's clearly a very above average pop album, and people reviewing this with basis on rapper ability, or lyrics depth, or album composition, or (...), are missing the point. Album just sounds great and that's all that was asked from him. Will Post Malone get away using the same formula? No way José. But for now all an honest music critic can say is 'congratulations'.

This is a substantially better record than Stoney, but suffers from being way too long. My take: get
rid of Spoil My Night, Same Bitches and Jonestown to round the tracklist to an even 15. 'Over
Now' might be one of his best tracks though.

boring and boring. And why have YG featured when you G-EAzy in the same track. and i am writing
this while listening this album, and getting sick for the process ( Otherside is soo bad, as
probably the rest of the album, but I dont care enough to pay much attention to it . One listen
was enough
