5.0 classic | Dmax28 | January 22nd 19 | Mature, tasteful, passionate, hard hitting in all the right places, delicate and soulful in all the right places. The range between the most delicate parts and the heavy riffs is impressive. The lead work is inventive and the vocals are so smooth. Softer songs like "End of Silence" and "Departure" just may be my favorites, which is surprising to me, but despite no harsh vocals aside from a scream on the final track the album brings the heaviness as well. An album in this style with less strong songwriting could run the risk of songs blending together but that isn't the case here. This is a classy release all around that creates a complete experience with zero filler and plenty of replay value.

5.0 classic | MaidenUFO | July 2nd 21 | Perfection. Their second best album after "ISOT",and one of the best records of the last years, so enjoyable and nostalgic! A big Englund moment! The album is flawless, but my favorites are "The Departure", "A Silent Arc", "A Secret Atlantis", "End of Silence" and "All I have".

3.0 good | Soilworker90 | February 4th 19 | After a very first run of listening to this album, all I can say so far: It's not that easy. There are only a few "more simple" passages which rest in mind, everything else is quite progressive and does not become accessible at once. It's a beast of an album, perhaps Evergrey's most progressive approach till now. Maybe, after more runs, the music becomes more accessible. If so, I might correct my rating - to the better then.

4.0 excellent | Fernando Alves STAFF | January 27th 19 | Englund takes us on a journey through the Atlantic currents into familiarly melancholic shores. We will not find anything truly adventurous along the way, but the ride is quite enjoyable.
