Hordes of Chaos is what truly confirmed Kreator's modern day direction: melodic thrash metal. The sheer speed and intelligently crafted melodic harmonies allow them to teach the newcomer thrashers how it's done. It's also much shorter from the angry yet overlong Enemy of God so it's lean and lacking in filler. Possibly the best post-90's Kreator and sees them once again firing on all cylinders with their blistering trade-off solos.

Another solid release by the German thrasers....The title track is by far my favorite track on the album along with"War Curse" and "To the Afterborn".....HORDS OF CHAOS HORDS OF CHAOS EVERYONE AGAINST EVERYONE - CHAOS!!!!!

Music meant to KILL THINGS TO!!!!! BROOTAL!!. If you're 13 or find your lifestyle defines you as a hardcore person, you won't find a better soundtrack than this. 40 minutes of anger, with excellent production values (I like my thrash raw and detailed).

Easily the best of their comeback albums, Hordes Of Chaos embodies both the thrash and melodic sides of Kreator perfectly with songs like Escalation and Amok Run and the incredible Warcurse.

Fast paced thrash metal with a lot of melody to it, each song on here is a magnificent showcase of Kreator's song writing talent and this stands proudly as their second best album, ahead of such greats as Extreme Aggression and Pleasure To Kill but behind Coma Of Souls. Warcurse, Demon Prince and the title track are the standout songs here showing off the really melodic approach to the riff work and some lightning fast drumming from Ventor-arguably his finest performance to date
