It's like if they tried to be even more poppy/mainstream than CWA, but reverted back to the epic-come-concept ideas of El Cielo. If you're a dredg fan, you'll like this. If you're a butt rock fan, you might like this. Overall, I'm really surprised; their new tracks sucked so bad live (cough Ireland cough), but in the context of the album, they work so much better.

I'm pretty sure this is not as good as everyone says it is and I hate when that happens so I will listen to this a lot and my opinion will stay the same then I will be very pissed because I wasted my time.

I thought this was going to suck so bad and was ready to absolutely de-hype it to hell but now I think I am going the opposite way. "Pariah" could be the best song they have ever written.

dredg pulled a fast one on us. for the last two years everything was pointing towards
this being a colossal piece of shit, but after listening to The Pariah, The Parrot, the
Delusion it is good. Actually this is gooder than good. Its great.

After hearing various snippets of the album from live performances on youtube, I had begun to worry that dredg had
lost everything that made them interesting in the first place.
I can say with confidence that my fears have (mostly) been laid to rest. dredg has managed to craft an album that
mixes some of the experimental tendencies of Leitmotif and El Cielo with the accessibility of Catch Without Arms.
There are a couple of tracks that drag the album down, but as a whole, it's quite solid.

Took a while for me to appreciate this one. I bought it right when it was released and wrote it off as mediocre (for Dredg at least). Then a few months ago I popped it in and was hooked.

"Dredg are doing pop now?" was my first thougt after I had first listened to the album. But between all those poppie hooks they also got a lot more progressive (but not the El Cielo / Leitmotif - kind of progessive :P)

I like all the dredg albums at an almost equal level, Leitmotif being my favorite. This album is like El Cielo and Catch Without Arms mixed, and its interesting. Overall, an excellent listen for sure.

Like drew describes the album - “a rock and roll record, filled with experimental journeys and eccentric joust” .
This album is indeed one filled with some headbanging track and atmospheric instrumental interludes similar to the el cieo or even leimotif. Drew continues express insecurity regarding afterlife and religion in tracks such as "Pariah" , "Saviour" and "I Don't know". Saviour is probably the loudest and angriest track in the album and I'm loving the bridge of "Quotes".

Dang this is really good. lyrically more consistent than the breathtaking El Cielo, and musically is just as good, maybe even better. Rating might go even higher. dredg's regained its place in my favorite bands list.

Put me in the group that thought this was going to suck. It's actually really, really, really good. I would say this is Dredg coming into their own (I hated El Cielo, while Leitmotif was good, and Catch Without Arms was better). I'm really impressed.
I didn't like the songs I heard before hearing the album in full, but that's how this album is -- the flow of the album really makes it. You have to listen to it from start to finish.

I like this a lot more than I thought I would. As soon as I heard Savior and Information through the Coachella videos, I was a bit worried, along with pretty much everyone else. But, also just like everyone else, I found that I was wrong. Dredg's new album is pretty great, and it may even grow on me... So here's to Dredg, proving me wrong one more time.

Much better than CWA if you ask me, some of the songs such a saviour I didn't take to at first listen when they were streaming but now fitting them in the album, I really like them. Delete information and you have a really nice album!

tremendous album. dredg does it again. nice instrumental tracks and atmospheric effects somewhat reminiscent of el cielo and strong pop appeal like their last album. i doubted the quality of this album but dredg delivered.

Certainly much better than I expected, but beyond surpassing my expectations, it is an excellent album. More pop than Catch Without Arms, yet much more reminiscent of El Cielo/Leitmotif than CWA as well. Loaded with numerous quality tracks, there are only two full-length tracks on this album that I don't absolutely love, and those are still quite tolerable.

Another gem from this band. At first, much like most everyone else i've read comments from, i was iffy about this album. But my love for this band lead me to give it a few more listens, and i haven't stopped listening to it since it leaked, there are a few weak spots, and seemingly over excessive interludes, but the concept works and the album beats Catch Without Arms two times over.
