This one sounds like bits and pieces from previous albums, but with mediocre songwriting and average vocals. Leviathan is by no means an awful listen, but at the same time, most songs lack any real sense of direction or development, as they start rather abruptly, feature a couple of old tricks that Christofer Johnsson has in his bag, and that's it. This LP was supposed to be full of hits, according to Johnsson, but it feels more like a failed attempt to please fans who expect Therion to release a new Theli.
