How can people hate on this. The lyrics can be hit or miss I agree but everything is in there is absolute gorgeous. The light subtle piano and guitars are so well produced. Her vocal range is stunning. The duos are very welcoming. Some songs have very intriguing time signature shift. This is easily top 15 this year so far. It's at least 35.

It was just a recycled version of her last record, except this time she took on the vocals of a racist country girl screaming ?get off my land? while a 5 year old plays with a drumset in the background.

This sounds very nice, but the lyrics are so out of touch that it?s laughable. Like there may be an audience out there right now for ?sad rich person escapism?, but I?m certainly not it. And with the way it?s delivered, I can?t even convince myself Lana is being ironic nor do I think she?s in on the joke. It all just feels kind of . . . Gross

Maybe listening to this on a hazy Sunday morning was the best condition I could give to this album: the laziness of the moment fitted well with the sparse, almost non-present arrangements. There are slight background instrumentations that manage to bring prettiness to the otherwise largely bland and heartless delivery. I almost fell asleep again. Now imma jam "Off to the Races" and try to kick off this Sunday.

From her 2019 Norman Fucking Rockwell release to this new album there seems to be a lot of the same sonic landscapes and lyrical content, however, there is a huge drop off in creativity, power, and abstraction. Much of this album tries to build on the same kind of ideas that her last album created but misses the mark with actually doing that because of how dry this album is compared to that one. Don?t get me wrong there are some truly great tracks on here like ?White Dress?, ?Chemtrails Over the Country Club?, ?Let Me Love You Like a Women?, ?Dance Till We Die?, and some others. However, some of the most boring tracks pop up on this record, and all sort of fall one after another. Another caveat here is how awkward the pacing is on this album; some tracks have a lot of sonic power while others complete trip everything back and leave much to be desired. Overall a record with potential, but dwarfs in comparison to her 2019 magnum-opus.

Seriously, Lana is so talented it sucks that she wastes her talents on these kinds of albums. It's slow, kinda boring honestly and the lyrics are nothing special. rWhile listening to it, I thought, damn, Lana would make for a great shoegaze singer. And no, Lana would be a great anything if she did anything else than what she does.

White Dress is better than anything on NFR besides Venice Bitch. Venice Bitch also made the rest NFR sound like total donkey shit and made me wish I hadn?t listened to the full album. I?ll bow out now and take the gem that is White Dress and enjoy it before it ruins the rest of this album for me. I?ve just learned Lana puts all her talent in like one song and half asses the rest of her albums.
