They were one of my favorite bands months ago, but when they came to Portland Oregon and i saw them live, they became my favorite. These guys are amazing and i cant wait to hear whats next.

The Temper Trap have had a very good year, and they hold a lot of potential. It's a shame then, that only a couple of the songs on this debut are rememberable.

The Temper Trap, you bastards! The way you write such catchy, hook laden and lovely melodies, with so much ease is just not fair! Conditions is so good with it's wistful harmonies, soaring vocals and guitar delay pedal wankery that it is probably the best sugar coated rock album to be released this year other than fun.'s effort. Conditions is a stellar pop record that gets multiple replays.

Combining the '90's of bands like U2, and the stylistics of a top notch indie pop band The Temper Trap release a surprisingly fantastic debut. Sure songs like Ressurection where Conditions gets a little too '08's electro on us and *Chris Mandagi's poptastic falsetto kinda gets annoying but otherwise this is pretty much full of epic catchiness. Kind of like if Kings Of Leon decided to ditch southern rock for indie pop. Rules so hard.
*Scratch that, his voice in no way gets annoying!

Wonderfully quirky vocals with a mellowed, matured vibe, it's a great listen but I just can't give it a four. Maybe next time.
