I've never wanted to punch a woman before but Ke$sha is making it a bit difficult for me to keep my shit together.

While Ke$ha comes across as a poor mans Lady GaGa, she's at a place GaGa has yet to go despite numerous tries: hip-hop. Fusing that with electro and pop while rapping a la Fergie, Ke$ha's debut is a hot mess just like her appearance. It's not that far-fetched to image her showing up to a red carpet event with one heel on, panties, and a graphic tee with questionable stains on it. Musically the record is stale rarely leaving the upbeat sound with trashy lyrics from the single "Tik Tok". Vocally she should stick to rapping because when she attempts to sing the result is less that fulfilling. Ke$ha reinforces that in pop music sometimes originality isn't key, it's catchy hooks and who you know that gets you signed. Download: Your Love Is My Drug, Take It Off, Dinosaur and Boots & Boys.

It's not fun, it's not even that catchy, its just really annoying. Its a very shallows, boring, repetitive album. On top of that, Kesha can't actually sing and she doesn't even care. I really can't understand her appeal, not even at a comercial level.

The album has some catchy tunes to say the least. But unfortunately all of them were made singles so all you're really getting by buying the albums is a coaster. Don't get me wrong, she has her place in "music" but that place isn't a respectable one. Her 15 minutes will be done soon than we won't have to deal with her mediocre tripe anymore.

There are two times that I listen to Kesha. The first being when I trick my one friend who wants to kill her into listening to it. That's always fun to do. Another is when people piss me off. Kesha and other utterly disgusting pop "singers" with meaningless lyrics help me to not throw something at someone's head.

Jumping on the Gaga/Perry dance-pop bandwagon, Ke$ha's bratty & auto-tuned half-rapping/half-singing debut LP 'Animal' is 1 step forward, 5 steps back. Even on the admittedly catchy singles, there are cringe-worthy portions & never is the whole song infectious. She attempts variety with some slower cuts, but has neither the talent nor sincerity to pull them off. The main deterrent however is the awful & trashy lyrics, which are irresponsible considering the target audience. 14 tracks over 45 minutes is just too much, while 'Stephen' & 'Dinosaur' are Worst Song of 2010 contenders. Recommended Tracks: Tik Tok & Your Love Is My Drug.

That brief era of pop music truly was something. Throw in the biggest F U N jams you've got, add some 8-bit bleeps bloops, and auto-tune the fuck outta the voice even though you don't need to. The result is mostly annoying, because there's absolutely no sense of balance within each track - it just always goes up without ever wondering if there's another path. It's a shame, because the album's anthemic nature could have worked if only it wasn't created during one of pop's most rapidly dated eras - eg I'd like to listen to a remix of "Kiss N Tell" without all that chiptune envelope. 1.5

This previously was the worst album I've ever heard... until I heard Buckcherry's album Fuck. Don't get me wrong this is still awful. Tik Tok is a terrible song and god do I hate that song.

The peppy, but alcoholic cheerleader in me wants to really like Animal, but the grown-up, yet high-sounding douchebag in me has no choice but to loathe almost everything this album represents. "Tik Tok" is the sort of guilty pleasure you'll desire to regret after hearing it played more than at least 18 times, whilst tracks like "Blah Blah Blah" have only one true resting place: the dark fires where Ke$ha must sleep until she improves herself inside and out.

Managed to enjoy a few songs only as mindless, infectious pop music ought to be (Tik Tok was pretty damn catchy) , but the whole album all together poorly done and her voice very quickly becomes annoying. Not to mention, she displays some of the worst lyrics in music history.
