2.7 average | Erwann S. STAFF | December 18th 23 | Daniel Caesar sure has a nice voice (and he doesn't try too hard), and his neo-soul sports some lush instrumentation, but the whole vibe is too mellow for its own sake to have any impact whatsoever. Basically a subpar Anderson .Paak.

4.0 excellent | ajcollins15 | April 11th 23 | I could see this album continuing to grow on me through the months since there are some true bangers on here. But for now, it is definitely Daniel Caesar?s best album to date; smooth and hypnotic neo-soul and RnB vocals laced over classic bedroom pop/indie style beats a la Frank Ocean. Although there are some tracks here and there that are nowhere near as strong as others, it is an overall enjoyable listening experience. If the record was not as long as it is, it would be a much better listening experience. But for now, it is still a lush and sensual record when it wants to be an emotionally heart-pumping record when it wants to be.
