I had never even seen a shooting star before. 25 years of rotations, passes through comets'
paths, and travel, and to my memory I had never witnessed burning debris scratch across the
night sky. Taylor Swift was hunched over her instrument. I stared entranced, soaking in her
new material, chiseling each sound into the best functioning parts of my brain which would
be the only sound system for the material for months.

This isn't the worst album in the world or even among the worst, truly. But it's such a vapid record, so empty and pointless that I, even for objectivity's sake, have no personal interest in ever returning here to listen again. It's an artistic desert, a wasteland with no oasis in sight. And I don't ever deign to journey within its boundaries ever again.

Another album of same-sounding, midtempo synth pop songs (I dont't think they deserve to be
called bops) followed up by 15 same-sounding, midtempo piano ballads - Riveting. While I
will concede there are some decent tracks in here, self editing and some trimming would have
done this album wonders. Not every song that gets written needs to be released.
