Didn't see the "Released by Century Media" tag but could've guessed it. The WWI aesthetic sure is cool, but all tracks tread the exact same melodeathblack template for too long. I expected more gruesome performances given the theme, as well as more dynamics.

A band themed on the atrocities of war is hardly unique however, Kanonenfieber does it better than most. Granted, as it's sung all in German, doing a little reading might help bring out the atmosphere but even if you're ignoring the stories, the melodic black/blackened death still comes off pretty powerful
