Let's be very blunt here: the amount of emotional depth Buried in Oblivion has can become incredible at times. Although Canadian progressive metal band Into Eternity's creativity is somewhat questionable, their approach to this type of music will knock listeners flat on their backs. Splendid (if ocassionally expected) instrumentation and great vocals that are typically comprised of power metal-inspired singing, shrieks, and gutturals make the album a highly worthwhile one. Fucking eargasmic.

My favourite Into Eternity album. Something about the way the songs are put together and perhaps how the album flows hits me in a way that "Dead or Dreaming" and "The Scattering of Ashes" just don't. While those are both great albums, I believe IE did things just right on this one. I'm excited to hear their new one!

I actually bought this album 3 years ago, when I first got into metal. I didn't like it at the first spin so I kinda ditched it.
Then, 3 months ago, I decided to give it another listen. And god, this album is so unbelivably good, amongst my favs right now. Haven't heard a band that sounds even similar to them, they're so original
