If you can get over the fact that these guys are Christian, and simply listen to the music, you will have a much better time. Catch For Us the Foxes creates a mysterious sound with atmospheric guitars. The unique vocals take you on a journey. Enjoy this album in all its dark, minor goodness.

mewithoutYou's music is very inspiring. Vocalist Aaron Weiss' vocal delivery is powerful and emotional, he conveys his message very well. Though relatively simple, the instrumentation fits the mood of the songs well, and just adds to the sincerity of the album. Although mewithoutYou has room for improvement, this is a great album. Expect great things form this band in the future.

One of the most famous indie/post-hardcore bands around, and for good reason, mewithoutYou consistently puts out records right from their hearts. Catch For Us The Foxes, their sophomore full-length, may just be their most consistent record out there. It doesn't have something as breathtakingly incredible as "Everything Was Beautiful And Nothing Hurt", but all of the songs here are very high quality, featuring beautiful riffs and leads, a nice bass presence, fluid drumming, and of course Aaron Weiss' amazing vocal and lyrical performance. Struggles with God, love, depression, and suicide are all dealt with with the utmost tact, and the truly palpable emotion in every line is a marvel. The lack of a true standout track does hurt things slightly, but when the songs are all as good as these ones are, it lessens that blow quite a bit. A beautiful album from a beautiful band.

This album will be listened to for years to come. This is possible on of the best displays of post-hardcore. The album is fierce and beautiful with many dynamics in it. It takes you on a journey and leaves you wanting more at the end (aka put this album on repeat please). The production is thick, punchy, and beautiful. Classic Album, hands down.

The droning, emotional feel of Carousel and the jumpy, frantic feel of January 1979 tell you everything you need to know about mewithoutYou's second record, Catch For Us The Foxes. Since their previous release, they've mellowed out their feel without losing that harsh bite that has always been an endearing aspect of the group. It's this raw approach that makes CFUTF work so effectively, working in Weiss' passion for religion while still remaining true to the band's post-hardcore methods of music.

I thought nothing could ever top Brother, Sister... and then I listened to this. Brother, Sister may have been more experimental, but Catch for Us the Foxes is overall more emotional and (at least sounds) more inspired than its follow-up album. Highly, highly recommended.

The is one of the best cd i have ever listened to(I dont give out 5s).
I wasn't sure if their was room for improvement o9n this until they released Brother, Sister which is an improvement in some ways.
The best tracks are probably torches together, january 1979, the soviet and carousels.
I can't emphasesie the creativity, unique nature and scencerity of this band enough. Aaron Weiss' lyrics are so thought provoking and his use of metaphors and biblical allusions make for something special.
In saying all that, mewithoutyou is by no means everyone's cup of tea and I encourage eveyone to give this album more than just a cursory listen.
