Now first and absolutely foremost, something has to be said here: if Deviant's review for The Fat of the Land doesn't give the album justice, then I have no goddamn clue what else will. Now onto the record itself, English electronic music act The Prodigy have gotten down to the nitty-gritty for no one but themselves. Although essentially a big beat recording, Prodigy's third studio release contains a little of something for everybody; for instance, you can be a metalhead and still fall head-over-heels the moment "Breathe" kicks in. Liam Howlett changed the pitch up just so he could eventually smack his bitch up in the process. As mandatory as it is to witness Experience, you'd have to be as forgetful as shrapnel if you ever feel like missing out on the dragon that is The Fat of the Land.

A ridiculously fun, melodically hectic album that I would easily consider to be Prodigy's best. The synthesizers are the real highlight here as well as the awesomely catchy hooks. For a beginner, this album is a great starting point. It demonstrates their most profound styles of music all into one, shooting them like a firecracker all over the course of 50 minutes or so.

If there’s one album to have crazy, dirty sex to, it’s this one. Not saying I’ve done so, but I have. The album starts off with a pump up jam that really does make you want to smack some bitch up. Its’ uncut, controversial music video consisting of cocaine snorting, slapping and grabbing random wankers, and a sexual surprise at the end, only makes “Smack My Bitch Up” better. “Breathe” follows up beautifully, and every damn song on here should be illegal for making anyone and everyone want to just snort up and rage harder than ever before. Hip Hop stud Kool Keith spits some in your face words on “Diesel Power”, thus making one ponder if this is even rock. The Prodigy take samples from all over, including tid bits from the Beastie Boys, The Breeders, with an overwhelming amount of hip hop and electronic beats. In conclusion, this album is an in your face mind*** of dance, industrial sounds, and ultimately alternative rock.
