holy shit do they hold the carrot out on this one. decentish monopoly followed by impactful star storm the sorrow, but then nothing but pure filler until deter! that and avalanche are mostly good, great soprano vox in latter, but then i heard the actual serenade for the first time, and its a disappointment. i have the glitched cd version thats mostly instrumental and find it far more dramatically superior, a five star track. somehow simones vox actually deplete it and so i cant even give the actual album a 2.5, cd version of twin flames is also a win

Requiem for the Indifferent barely manages to be an above average record, going for bleak sense that leaves the listener feeling, well, indifferent. It's enjoyable, but hardly compels one to keep coming back.

I am between 3 and 3.5, but some moments in it, like Karma, Monopoly..., Requiem's intro and the last half of Avalanche make me say it's a 3.5... Anyway, decent album...

Not quite as awesome as 'Design Your Universe" but still really well done, and they are definitely moving forward with their sound, unlike some of their peers (looking at you Sirenia and Tristania).
