| RUSH re-ranked | 19 | | Rush Rush
Isn’t even really rush to me. Don’t care about this at all | 18 | | Rush Roll the Bones
Totally forgettable, with some genuinely cringe moments | 17 | | Rush Power Windows
Still kinda meh about this one. Awesome album, but has never stood out to me | 16 | | Rush Fly by Night
Too many butt rock vibes, but Anthem is one of the greatest songs ever written | 15 | | Rush Caress of Steel | 14 | | Rush Presto
Some of this blends together, but the standouts are fantastic. The Pass, Chain Lightning, Available Light. Phenomenal cuts | 13 | | Rush Test for Echo
Their most underrated. Some of the band’s worst tracks are sprinkled in here, but they’re outnumbered by some of the band’s best work. Very timeless sound | 12 | | Rush Clockwork Angels
Phenomenal but way too long, and the production isn’t my favorite | 11 | | Rush 2112
Iconic, just a bit less interesting compared to the ones that came after. Twilight Zone is one of my favorite Rush tracks | 10 | | Rush Moving Pictures
Tom Sawyer, Red Barchetta, and Witch Hunt are all songs that I’m not crazy about. They’re great but are low on the list of songs I jump on when I’m in the mood for Rush. Classic album regardless | 9 | | Rush Grace Under Pressure
The best production. Bitter cold. LOVE it | 8 | | Rush Snakes & Arrows
The better sibling of Clockwork Angels. This thing is so tight, and the instrumentation has so much texture to it. Plus Geddy isn’t straining as much as on that album. | 7 | | Rush Counterparts
LOVE the sound of this album, and especially the albums that came after. Favorite era of Rush | 6 | | Rush Hemispheres
Prog perfection. Insane record | 5 | | Rush Signals
This REALLY grew on me. A perfect album | 4 | | Rush Hold Your Fire
Phenomenal, underrated, flawless album. Favorite bass album. Time Stand Still is my favorite song of all time | 3 | | Rush Vapor Trails Remixed
My last ranking had this at #18, but thankfully I spent a LOT of time with this over the last year, and honestly it’s essential. | 2 | | Rush A Farewell to Kings
Prog perfection. This album is gorgeous, and I personally find the vocals to be fantastic. | 1 | | Rush Permanent Waves
My second favorite album of all time. Natural Science is the band’s best epic. This thing is the perfect middle ground between their prog stuff and the 80’s era. Much better than Moving Pictures | |

02.26.24 | Somehow this feels more controversial than my last ranking. I stand by it though. Rush is my favorite band, and my 30,000+ minutes of listening to Rush last year gives me the cred to back it up. | JohnnyoftheWell
02.26.24 | 9 is way too low, 18 just right, 7 one of the v few albums I'm curious enough to hear to listen to Rush again gj | e210013
02.26.24 | My top five is:
1 - Hemispheres
2 - A Farewell to Kings
3 - Permanent Waves
4 - Moving Pictures
5 - Signals
The rest I'm not sure about the order.
Anyway, good ranking. | AnimalForce1
02.26.24 | Power Windows being so low feels like a criminal sin. But honestly, everything after their debut (which is firmly at the bottom) changes for me on a daily basis, I love the band too much. Also, yes, Available Light is a banger, and I think in contention for a top 10 Rush song
@Johnny Counterparts is a banger album | AlexKzillion
02.26.24 | i def prefer the debut to at least presto, vapor trails, and test for echo | PizzaBear
02.26.24 | I'll need to listen to Hold Your Fire again, as much as I love Time Stand Still, that song alone couldn't save it from feeling like a firm last place album last time I listened to it. With Presto and Roll tying up the bottom 3 | mkmusic1995
02.26.24 | I think the only things we agree on are 19 being 19 and 1 being 1 lol | Brabiz
02.26.24 | “ i def prefer the debut to at least presto, vapor trails, and test for echo” is insane. Late era Rush is the best Rush sound | Brabiz
02.26.24 | I think Power Windows will be one that ends up near the top. Just has yet to grow on me | JKing92
02.26.24 | My top five would be 10, 1, 11, 6, and probably 4 (though 5 might swap with it, depending on my mood). | twlight
02.26.24 | 2 will always be my fav | zoso33
02.27.24 | permanent waves does slap | Dwap
02.27.24 | Everyone has an opinion and this one is wrong | zoso33
02.27.24 | its actually a great list, as a part canadian/rush fan i appreciate these rankings. i somehow just got into signals and i agree its a 5 | Brabiz
02.27.24 | “ Everyone has an opinion and this one is wrong” aka “you can’t actually like anything after Moving Pictures” Rush is the greatest band ever. If you have an issue with this ranking, you’re a fucking poser | Sabrutin
02.27.24 | Red Barchetta is my fav Rush song D:
But I like your unconventional picks, there's so much great Rush stuff that can grow crazy based on time spent on it (Presto for example I love a lot despite its reputation). Anyway for me 5 is 1 these days | SuzyC
02.27.24 | Yeah, their debut album isn't their best, but it definitely ISN'T their weakest one. Yup, 'Hold Your Fire' is awesome, so is 'Clockwork Angels'... Too long?!? No way!! | YoYoMancuso
02.27.24 | correct bottom 2, i love you giving Counterparts the respect it deserves, 6 is my #1 choice and obviously I'd have Moving Pictures higher, but this is solid otherwise | teamster
02.27.24 | Moving Pictures at 10 is certainly a choice. I respect it. | Brabiz
03.02.24 | It’s great, but fr I don’t explicitly care about anything aside from Limelight. It isn’t prog or synth enough to grab me. It released between two much better records imo. |
