| Pheromone https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FuxAjkzD2pw
| SlothcoreSam Yeah got a lot of replay potential, there are some really strong standouts on the album. Thanks for giving them a go, the other albums are great also
| SlothcoreSam Hey Fog, I got an album for you to check, it was one of my favourites from last year, but no one else had got on it. I feel like you would love it, Australian post punk/alt rock band. These New South Whales-TNSW. They are pretty big in Australia, but that's about it.
| Jasdevi087 it's fine dude honestly, I can see how it might not have been clear that I was talking specifically about reactionaries
| Pheromone how dare u get my hopes up and then crush crush crush them - but yes that would be lOVELY
| Pheromone Yessir unreserved standing (for anat and I I speak not for other bois)
| Pheromone Well my thinking was perhaps you could just come hang for the before if u didn?t wanna get a ticket. I?m off that Friday anyway so I can get down and meet ya whenever (maybe same for pang etc). Or also buy a ticket heh
| Pheromone fogza - 2nd june the veils me johnny anat pang it is huge it is big do u wish to partake
| Pheromone Haha yes. Pang is a must for involvement. I will message the both of you on discord for lil planning soon. Do u like parma violets?
| Pheromone Hello fogza - so! It's good! You can leave comments on everyones songs. The voting is initially anonymous but once everyone has voted all the songs and votes are announced. My friends and I use our facebook groupchat to discuss the rounds in a bit more detail but yeah you can comment and my gay anthems song received no points. That last bit is unrelated but it's ****ed up
| Pheromone ill let u know how it goes heart heart
| Pheromone yeah even i (a procastinating expert) am surprised by how bad sput is at this as a whole - this is why i was thinking a shift might open the door up a bit more (a list asking who is UP to actively participate) - it was an app my TX gals friends were using that really reminded me of SOTD and they seemed to love the more active aspect of assigning ten points out and checking the leaderboard each week. I'm trying it with some of my pals irl who SUCK at keeping up with stuff so trial run ig?
| Pheromone particularly diva's legacy SOTD and so I'm totally on just relaunching that next month with whoever hosting. But it's a cool idea if anyone wants some variety on the concept. The only frustrating thing is that it requires everyone to have spotify I believe (it makes the playlist for you and you can ONLY rec songs on spotify)
| Pheromone there's an app on the appstore called 'Music League' which is somewhat akin to Song of the Day whereby once a week (or every two weeks, you decide) you get given a theme and EVERYONE in the league must submit a song anonymously for that theme. after this, everyone assigns ten points out to songs as they see fit. Whoever has the most points after however many rounds wins! I wonder if this might be a good idea for a sput league, however I don't really wanna step on the feet of Song of the Day and
| theBoneyKing Aight dude gimme a couple Geraldine Fibbers toonz to try and if I like em I shall check an album
| Manatea Thanks for doing those features man. They turned out beautifully
| Pheromone philophobia acoustic shows i am probably too poor and june is not a great month for availability but they do exist
| Manatea Lol thanks mate. I used to be okay. I haven?t played consistently in a long time tho.
| Manatea Np fogz. Hope you thought it was a good read

| Pheromone It's okay. It's in a decent location! I do not love it very mcuh though
| Pheromone haha i thought it was a response to my 3 prediction which i then had to revert from
| Pheromone it's looooveely twee singer / songwriter about romance and sex and wow its good and amazing
| Pheromone listen to that mirah album i think you'll 3 it

| zakalwe Haha. Cheers mate I am honoured. I will have a look
| JohnnyoftheWell am bailing out of that awful tall smelly goat thread, but mayhap you should hear saya gray? i smell a 3.5 looming, but she is striking and pulls a few bold moves and also tears etc
| SpiridonOrlovschi Thanks friend for the constructive criticism. I made a confusion between "Green" and "Automatic For The People". I corrected it anyway.
| Pheromone lol i saw some video from her new song with the caption the queen of pop is back and it was one of the most tragic songs i have ever heard. i kind of disliked the first dry cleaning album and they annoy me a bit but i will listen and hold you deeply accountable
| Pheromone woah fogza i love you is it actually good why did u listen to the meghan trainor lmao
| xxm You?re welcome. I may get there someday.
| xxm It cut off my comment. Anyways, I love your commentary and wish you well. (I do love Limp Bizkit though.)
| xxm Hello there, I would just like to take this time to say that while I have several strong disagreements with you (examples being Bjork, several portions of your ?60s list,
| Pheromone was never a big fan of them but anat was hyping the boy up so i must listen, now you are hyping the boy up and i must listen doubly - i have one day left of uni stress then *phew* i will listen
| JohnnyoftheWell how dare you pretend not to be slave to boring retro pop enough to 2.5 hatchie i am reporting
| normaloctagon I realized today that your username is oddly similar to the band fugazi. Will be investigating further
| Pheromone https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhcIs4bSvBI
| Pheromone I know what you mean about those albums or artists that you continuously (or more so, occasionally) try to get into. Dinosaur Jr. are definitely one of those artists for me, never ever clicks
| AmericanFlagAsh I've come back with a few more observations. Bloody Future reminds me of an Ashnikko song, like Slumber Party or something. New Tricks is very Arca / Sophie.
| AmericanFlagAsh Gwen is def in the vocals yeah. It's hard to think of an album that has a very similar vibe. I'd say M.I.A. is closest with Matangi.
| AmericanFlagAsh Hey, yeah the producer is the same one who worked with Santigold and Vince Staples. There are definitely Big Fish Theory influences on it, but that's not pop like this. I hear a lot of Charli XCX on here, MIA, some Grimes, FKA Twigs, Crystal Castles, Hannah Diamond... Kilo def mixes a lot of different genres on here, but maintains the core electropop.
| JohnnyoftheWell more lyk for U (entire listen mandatory - those final 4 are legendary) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBlLW5a_XZg
| Pheromone their first is my favourite and one of the most special albums I?ve heard - so I guess that and then the two after if you like it !!
| porcupinetheater fogza i never congrats you on contrib!! You beautiful dancing hatchling manatee, I cannot wait to see what your words say now that them words are certified! But anyways yes you are beautiful and it is a very deserved promo
| Gnocchi Yes yes and congrats- good pick for that contrib spot
| normaloctagon Hey thanks and right back at u! Excited to read more of ur stuffff
| Slex Congratulations!!
| dedex fogzaaaaa you're a contribabe now woohoo!
| Pheromone 'oleo de una mujer con Sombrero' by silvio is so similar and yet so different from angeles by elliott smith
| Sunnyvale Thanks fogza! Congrats on the promotion, well-deserved!
| tyman128 welcome to the wonderful contrib team! looking forward to working with ya
| Kompys2000 Welcome to contribteam dude! Excited to see more writings from ya :)))
| Pheromone i do not like that late night cardigan album, how is being 51 har har
| Demon of the Fall oh, well that's a surprise. I'm on this journey now so I will complete it (for better or worse). It won't be taken lightly (maybe) and will (probably) take some time.
| Demon of the Fall it sounded like how I expected them to sound tbh, which is why I never went there. I expect they get 'artier' or something like Zep did. I know they have that famous song with eastern sounding guitars and that is cool af.
| Demon of the Fall I prefer your suggestion to Diva's! Never been much of a compilation sort of guy. I will get on that. It hasn't started great tbh, already peeked BB.
| dedex I am also ok with that! big woo
| dedex hey i mean you never know! also yay gnocchi
| Gnocchi peer pressure moment: apply for contrib
| dedex heyo love, thought about applying to contrib? i like your writing!
| rellik009 sorry you had to deal with Smok btw, you handled it really well and that's no lie
| ArsMoriendi I wonder if you'd like Sunlandic Twins cuz it's a midpoint between Satanic Panic and Hissing Fauna
| normaloctagon foggy, fail?! not on my watch!! looking 4 tasty opener or closer now expect it shortly
| ArsMoriendi Interesting! I love 'em both, but that's fair
| Pheromone oh man i have a long fin killie review that i just cant finish from like 6 months ago
| ArsMoriendi But yeah check Godcaster, their entire discography is under an hour cuz they started in like 2019
| JohnnyoftheWell woah, now there's a hot take. not entirely inaccurate i guess, hmm
| JohnnyoftheWell wipers 2! accurate Is This Real take, but that's just the warmup (although **** me, how hard does Up Front go?!)
| Trifolium Hello fogza the Opulent. It's good practice to wait a little longer, until the new list is made by our next host. And you don't have to it yourself, the mods do it for you. But you can of course, when the next one is up.
| Pikazilla UK! It was a very long flight for us. That trip was the first time I got to try all the exotic meats - like zebra and crocodile. I remember it got me real excited as a kid. I also remember Cape of Good Hope being SUPER windy to the point of me nearly falling off! Crazy.
| Pikazilla You're from Cape Town? Whoaaaa! I actually went on a trip around SA with my parents when I was a kid. It was pretty cool!
| Pikazilla you get to see them in the wild? I am so jealous... So there are penguins around too?
| Pheromone skriet - skriet . swedish post punk dream stuff it's so pretty
| twlight totally consistent. total artist
| twlight everyone has different taste i suppose. elliott always kicks tho
| Pheromone fogza how's the move coming along !!!!
| GhandhiLion https://www.sputnikmusic.com/soundoff.php?albumid=400076 | Oh and this is from June too. It's very similar to Ys. You'll love it.
| GhandhiLion That's good to hear. Her first album is cool too so check that one. | Thanks!
| Pheromone i recognise the album art for travels with myself and another, so i assume that's their main?
| Pheromone no! but rym says it is post-hardcore and noise rock, so if you're adding post-punk to the mix it might be my next favourite thing ever. what album should i check !!??
| Pheromone not that you were my last choice o m g
| Pheromone as I have been hyping it to everyone else practically - check that Half Man Half Biscuit album Achtung Bono. Amazingly smart funny post punk / indie rock lyricism / music
| Pheromone https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NrMOgcvOoyE ---- you heard?
| Pheromone haha it was more like i didn't rate for ages bcos i didn't wanna 'just' 3 a rec BUT i grew confidence plus the song choices / that version of new birds etc etc just didn't do it for me, still good and the version of girls of summer is one of my favourite tracks of theirs
| Trifolium Nice! I should check it soon then, I could do with a lot more of their stuff!
| Trifolium Yeah it's a very cute album, I super love it. Was on very regular rotation when it was released! Haven't really heard the follow-up yet. Did you?
| Trifolium That is one lovely profile pic fogza!
| Pheromone yeah lol our taste is both simultaneously very similar and very different - oh well, nice when we meet in the middle. the second has soul in isolation which is an all timer track
| Pheromone Ay, keep it on rotation for a bit and see if it grows any, but glad you dug! Also good Chameleons 3.5 (as a placeholder where you 0.5 every week right?!) any favourites from that one?
| Pheromone Yeah the streets and burial combine with the suicide of a best friend and a knack for poetry and working-class Dublin. It's like the first Streets but better (and a lot better than the rest of Skinner's discog)
| Pheromone fogza, you may also hate it, but check For Those I Love s/t and the clip on Jools Holland, tis' a heartbreaker.
| Divaman Future Bible Heroes - Memories of Love
| Pheromone ee - ramadan, before the world gets too cold in your area. AND, marvin pontiac - the legendary marvin pontiac (you might get a kick out of my rev / the album's satire also)
| Pheromone you should pop into the casual convo chat every now and then luv, all swell dudes in there
| Pheromone hi fogza, phero here. boy do i have the korean shoegaze for you!
| Pheromone haha i appreciate the rec, will listen at some point today after waking up a lil - i usually outsource the piles of contrib work, i find it easier - say, you don't happen to have 4 to 5 paragraphs written about the new antlers for me do you?
| normaloctagon heh, i am also a patient octagon so not a worry! rec when it feels right i always say. ta ta for now!
| normaloctagon totally get it and agree to an extent! she?s got the gift but it?s not fully fleshed out yet. i also think the album is a tad overlong, even though some of the high moments make it such a special record for me. hoping she drops something this year. happy wednesdee!
| normaloctagon haha i'm sure you saw it bumping on the main page out of the corner of your eye or something, i was late to the game but fell in love pretty quickly and it just kept growing. not sure how you'll feel about the more country bits, but it's a gr8 blend of americana with like, very subtle space rock influences. really gorgeous. i think you'll appreciate the way she uses soft-loud dynamics at the very least!!
| normaloctagon did u ever catch that katie pruitt release from last year? i'm surprised u don't have it rated!!! also nice AIC unplugged 5, not enough of those around imo
| Pheromone haha yeah I sent that nap eyes message very pre-emptively. I was two songs through and was wondering why I had it 3'd, then I continued listening and it slogged. Yes! Team Drench are actually amazing so im glad it wasn't a wasted venture.
| Pheromone ahaha I have never even tried with grouper, but your lack of firm opinion kinda compels me to listen
| Pheromone you ever listened to nap eyes? - 'thought scale' is a proper lovely album i completely forgot existed, 30 minutes of real nice bliss
| Pheromone girls of summer is such an insane tune
| Pheromone You are SHUNNED at least until tonight. Nah that's cool, I get it (maybe)
| Pheromone that hurts me, it might even be my favourite moffat ever
| Pheromone jesus fogza bro what are you missing with that strap 2.5 i might cry
| xxm You?re welcome.
| xxm Your taste is wonderful.
| Pheromone I am! Essex and Brighton area depending on whether I'm living up at uni or not. Do I not give off a cool northern aura then eh? Got a bunch of pals up in leeds though, love it in the short term. That's mad cool though, I love the idea of you single handedly repping the strap.
| Pheromone oh man that's dope, where abouts are you located? always assumed brit from the arab strap digging lol
| Pheromone also lol weird timing because one of the guys was in black heart processions first
| Pheromone the s/t is my favourite of theirs, so maybe check that firrrrst. N yeah I guess math pop, super atmospheric n original bleepy bloopy bassy. Hard to explain but one of my absolute favourites
| Pheromone why haven't you listened to pinback yet dear fogza,
| budgie idk dude like a million honestly. shiet. let me meditate on it for a while to get some real similar stuff
| budgie cheep cheep. cheep cheep cheep. chirp cheep SWUAAK cheep cheep.
| budgie us birds gorta stick togetha
| neekafat Every once in a while rock will get something up there (:
| neekafat I'm not so surprised, it was No. 1 on the billboard apparently!!
| neekafat Yo I finished my Arcade Fire write-up in my cram list!
| Sowing I asked Jom to straighten this out and it seems you should be good to go now.
| AliW1993 I want to make a start on their discography at some point, probably won't be for a while though. The lack of responses to your review tells you all you need to know about the attention they get here, sadly. Have you listened to any of the stuff Aidan and Malcolm have done outside Arab Strap?
| jtswope Yeah I guess music is one of my few obsessions. From what I can tell you have fantastic music taste as well.
