A really great listen. In my opinion, tracks 5-8 lose a little bit of steam, but I am in love with the other songs so they balance out. Those tracks aren't even close to being bad, I just find them less remarkable, even if each one has at least a few parts that are extremely memorable and well written. Trust Me is such a strong opener.

Not as much my style as the last one but I still enjoy it. Maybe one too many songs towards the middle, but the closing run of Jealous, the Mountain, and Say the Line is really stellar. I do enjoy lots of this album, my first complaint this time around would be the lyrics occasionally just tread water. There's some really great lines peppered throughout this one, my favorite being the opening lines for Caroline or the second verse of Jealous. My other issue is that the bass is not recorded very well, in my opinion. It could be the bigger mix or the engineering of it, but it sounds to me like it wasn't recorded very well. Specifically, I noticed lots more fret buzz than normal. I wish, in this regard, they didn't just settle for good. The parts are written well, though, and Kelly is still my favorite bass player.

Rise Against Appeal to Reason
This has aged pretty well, bar some stinkers thrown in there (Hero of War, specificially). Old favorites have lost my interest (From Heads Unworthy, Strength to Go On, Long Forgotten Sons) and others are way better than I remember (Dirt Whispered, Audience of One, Hairline, Whereabaouts, KOTOV SYNDROME holy shit what a banger). Had fun revisiting this one
Rise Against Endgame
Sincere Engineer Rhombithian
Really fun and solid release. In my opinion, the two tracks right before the closer are pretty weak and could have used more work. A lot of great singalong punk songs, "Corndog," "Ceramic Tile," "Overbite," and so on.

For an album with the lyric "maybe I should play the lead guitar and Pat should play the drums," the drumming is extremely flaccid and forgettable throughout the entire album. Other than that, it's pretty good.

This has a ton of solid tracks and the lyrics and vocal execution are outstanding across the board, but I agree with Poxy that as a whole this record doesn't achieve anything amazing.
Slaughter Beach, Dog Safe And Also No Fear
Slaughter Beach, Dog At The Moonbase
It's a good album, but there's a few too many parts where I feel unsatisfied or
disappointed. The choruses in Do You Know, the lyrics in My Girl and Johnathan, the
overbearence of the vocals in Engagement, the sluggishness of Van, and the all of Oscar's
as soon as the economics line is given all make me dislike the album more than I probably
should. Sonically there's some really great stuff happening, and the title track,
Thinking of You, and Are You There are highlights for me, along with Fell in Love and The
Modern Lay (but only when I'm in the mood). Might be my least favorite of the four but
it's still early.

It's not all bad, but half of this I would put into a category of "the worst thing Matt Skiba and Mark Hoppus have ever had their names attached to." Travis does good but the production and mixing is so shit so it doesn't really matter in the end.
blink-182 One More Time...
The songwriting is pretty good, but the
production is so poor that it kinda ruins
any genuine quality that is put forward. Why
does the new Sincere Engineer album, something
made on a fraction of the budget, sound a
million times better than the new blink-182
album?

I get that it's low-fi, but tune your goddamn guitar. Overall a pretty uninteresting

is a little too lazy for my taste. I could see other people really digging this, but I
don't really think it's for me.
