| Butkuiss Yeah, it was a bit janky in parts but it still might be the episode I?ve enjoyed most since World Enough and Time. Why do I get the feeling the next month will just be us going ?that was good but not great, next week looks like it might be cool though!? over and over

| Butkuiss I have hope, but also dreading that it?s going to turn out to be another trite The Meaning of Christmas episode where Santa shows up to change the ending. I am not huge on the Christmas specials in general, unfortunately.

| Butkuiss Oh, there were gorgeous sequences (silence field, the Pyramids ref, the cold open), I guess that?s why I found it so frustrating in the end, because the rest of the writing just seemed like a way to get from Cool Scene to Cool Scene. Hoping the Grand Moff?s episode next week scratches my itch (and I wonder how much of a re-hash it?ll be of that one scene in The Magician?s Apprentice)

| Butkuiss It just felt like things kept happening because Muscle Tee Davies needed them to, not because there was any actual impetus for them to. Even some technobabble around just intonation or A=432 being banned because of their relationship to the Maestro in the episode leading to them finding the ?lost? chord would have made more sense ? but instead there was just nothing. I?m obviously not the target audience any more, but no clue how these scripts got past proofreading.
