Jordan Rakei The Loop
It?s white boy soul and RnB music, but had really no flare to it. Not bad while it?s on but completely forgettable when it?s over.

JJ Wilde Ruthless
The newest EP from Canadian singer/songwriter JJ Wilde continues the hard rock, country rock, and alternative rock style she showcased on her debut. In some ways, this is an innocent and easy rock EP, but it becomes completely forgettable once it is over. Additionally, many of the ideas are extremely derivative. The only saving grace is the second track, "Best of Me."

Knocked Loose You Won't Go Before You're Supposed To
Knocked Loose has often been seen as one of those metalcore and deathcore bands that are more pretentious and overhyped due to their hardcore fans. However, much of the hype for this band is warranted, even from someone like me who has enjoyed their past two albums but wasn't as drawn to them as others have been. The band's third album, "You Won't Go Before You're Supposed To," could go down as one of the most essential metalcore albums of all time. Everything from the production to the playing is top-notch for the metalcore genre, going toe-to-toe with Converge (and, for me, surpassing Converge). The album is brimming with ideas, from the in

yaya bey Ten Fold
I have been following Yaya's music for a few years and several albums now because there has always been something extra to her rather ordinary RnB style. The instrumentals have always kept me coming back, and on her newest album, "Ten Fold," this continues. There are some really groovy tracks on here, like "All Around Los Angeles" and "iloveyoufrankiebeverly," as well as some fun electronic tracks like "So Fantastic" and "Sir Princess Bad Bitch." Yaya has the ability to make fun and exciting songs, but there are also several head-scratching ideas, especially in the back half of the album. Overall, "Ten Fold" is still a fun listening experienc

Iglooghost Tidal Memory Exo
The fourth album from one of the better modern electronic producers out of the UK continues to demonstrate his ability to create blistering and exciting deconstructed club music. However, on "Tidal Memory Exo," Iglooghost takes a much harder, darker, and drill-focused approach. Notably, he also raps on most of the tracks. There's a lot to love here, and everything comes together well. However, my biggest issue is that the album can be a bit too much, even for me. Some parts are so chaotic and noisy that they really distract from the listening experience.

Kacy Hill Bug
Kacy Hill's latest album marks a significant evolution in her sound, representing her most compelling work to date. Previously criticized for fitting too snugly into the mold of bedroom pop and alt-pop, Hill breaks free from these confines on her new release, delving into a more sophisticated and explorative realm of art pop and bedroom pop. The album is teeming with highlights, showcasing Hill's newfound creative freedom and embracing a style that feels genuinely authentic to her. Tracks traverse diverse sonic landscapes, reflecting a sense of experimentation and artistic maturity. It's evident that Hill has found her stride, confidently nav

Hana Vu Romanticism
Hana Vu?s fifth album, ?Romanticism,? reaffirms her prowess in crafting compelling indie rock anthems and poignant ballads that resonate deeply with listeners. With this release, Vu demonstrates her keen ability to navigate the contemporary indie landscape, delivering a collection of tracks that are both familiar yet freshly invigorating. ?Romanticism? maintains a straightforward indie rock aesthetic, exploring themes and styles that may feel reminiscent of past works. However, within this familiar framework, Vu infuses each track with a distinct personality and emotional depth. Tracks like ?Alone? and ?Find Me Under Wilted Trees? exude anthe
