Brodequin
Harbinger of Woe
Kinda accessible brutal death metal, mostly thanks to the band's tight sense of grooviness. Still ain't a huge bdm fan but this brings some well-dosed violence in a well-produced coat.

Here In the Pitch
Pratt's
Here in the Pitch
sounds like a lost 60s gem: her distant vocals work wonders with those good ol' brill building arrangements and bossa nova-led folk strummings. An enchanting release.

Sorcerer (FRA)
Devotion
Sorcerer is a non-bullshit French metallic hardcore band that nicely infuses some atmospheric passages to add some grandeur to an otherwise heavy heavy material.

Cave Sermon
Divine Laughter
Cave Sermon nail their "modern everything metal" sound, with dissodeath moments leveraging the heaviness of post-metal and the urgency of black metal. A great indication that the scene is doing well.

Bladee
Cold Visions
Bladee goes rage, and that's one hell of a good idea as he manages to make an hour-long bassy'n'trappy record that surprisingly doesn't feel its runtime. Haven't enjoyed a Bladee project like that since his late 2010s output.

Amaro Freitas
Y'Y
Y'Y
is a dynamic jazz record invoking as much its author's Brazilian roots as it does post-things (minimalism/bop) or modern actors (Jeff Parker and Shabaka Hutchings). Its best moments are rivalled by slight lulls, but this is nonetheless a fresh jazz album.

Dua Lipa
Radical Optimism
Radical Optimism
feels like much less of an artistic statement as
Future Nostalgia
, whose title, sonic and aesthetic choices carried the "pandemic nu-disco revival" that would soon take over pop music.
Radical Optimism
is just a good pop album that throws different influences together in a rather incohesive way.
