Clover's Dopest 2K15 101 List

Me favorite albums of the year, 1-10 are ranked everything else are other neat stuff i rated a 3.5-5/5 + some 3s worth mentioning. Some albums have been cut out due to me running out of room RIP. Any and all negative comments will be ignored, but I will actually lose sleep over them anyways. That last line was a prank. Remember to like, comment, and subscribe for more of those wacky pranks GONE WRONG.
1Clarence Clarity
No Now

[Experimental/RnB] #1. This is it. My number one. What is it that Clarence Clarity does is that he creates an RnB record so truly unique and very well composed and concise that no error can really be drawn anywhere. The consistency of his "internet assault" aesthetic rings through with little twists and turns of oddball composition choices, hard irony, and some of the most damn catchy songs in years. Clarence basically turns the entire RnB genre on it's head.

Jagged, rough, and aggressive; yet, you still get these instances where Clarence sweeps across with a bold and smooth demeanor that only keeps you captivated through the entire album run. Clarence's completely schizophrenic approach to songwriting is so refreshing that you can't help but keep coming back for more. It's hard to make the call, but this will possibly go down in later years as one of the greatest pop records ever.

And thats good, because its 100% true.
2George Clanton
100% Electronica

[Vaporwave/Synthwave/Newave/Otherwaves] #2. George Clanton really did make something special here, I'll tell you what. What makes 100% Electronica so good is how incredibly well made every little element on this album is. 100% Electronic is the ultimate marriage of his Mirror Kisses and Espirit personas, both of which featured very unique ideas for their respective pop and vaporwave genres. They of course, come together to form a tight bond and chemistry that makes what George Clanton has created a completely solid record with no faults to be found anywhere.

Trying to explain what makes this record so perfect is tough, but just trust me that this will be stuck in your head for weeks.
3Everything Everything
Get To Heaven

[Indie Pop] #3. So theres two ways you can take this album.
The first is a bold commentary on the multiple faces of fear in the world at this time. Terrorism, politics, everyday life, everything of that matter. All of this is done in a matter that raises some heads because it's being done through indie pop. Of course, Everything Everything manage to avoid flubbing with la strong narrative that is straight to the point while leaving room for interpretation. All while being presented through a strong hook-line-sinker pop filter to get anyone on the fence on board. 17 tracks and you get a nice tour de force of different styles of pop music while all keeping a consistent, always warm feel. In a way, the fact that each of these tracks are so fun sounding despite their subject matter seems to only add more to the whole idea of capturing the world of confusion we live in.

The other way is that this is one of the best composed and most fun pop records in a long time. So win-win for all!
4Little Simz
A Curious Tale Of Trials + Persons

[Rap] #4. Little Simz tackling the topic of being looked down on by peers in the industry due to her gender is what makes A Curious Tale a stand out record. Simz isn't just here to be noticed, she wants the whole damn game in her hands. She wants to be king, and damn it, she sure as hell deserves it.

Little Simz soars on this album with her very bold statements of power and tackling of more humane and personal issues. It's a journey through someone who's voice was clearly needed to be heard, and with the time we are in right now, was the perfect time to take it by the throat. Theres a lot that can be pointed at on this album that reinforces that Simz deserves nothing but the upright absolute respect, but I'll let you experience that yourself.
5Jeff Rosenstock
We Cool?

[Pop Rock] #5. Oh Jeff, you poor, poor bastard. Can you ever be happy? The most logical step for Jeff to go now that Bomb the Music Industry is dead. You get a good blend of his previous work along with some more 90/2000s alternative rock with Jeff's own special flair of sparkly morbidity that you come to expect from his fun poppy production meeting lyrics of depression, confusion, and mid-life crisis.

We Cool is simply put one of the strongest entries in Jeff's career because it's the most solid his blend of those two elements work on this record. Nausea is one of the best this year and so is this record.
6U.S. Girls
Half Free

[Pop/Alt] #6. What do you expect from an album that ends it's first track with the line "I'm gonna hang myself from the family tree?"

Theres a very strong sense of dread throughout this album that makes it all very unnerving, maybe it's the vocals that don't sound like they all belong where they are. Maybe its the eerie nature of the synths and strings that seem to bite at one another's throats, maybe it's the narrative that seems to carry a feeling of incompetence and exclusion from the world.

Whatever it is, U.S. Girls has made an album that is a joy to listen to even when it makes you feel uncomfortable. All the way through the mixture of pop and alternative rock and the like all plays together is a tightly-knit chemistry that clearly shows that there is truly something to be feared beneath the layers of this album. I love it.
7Son Lux
Bones

[Electronic/Folk] #7. Bones is like the bright summer day after a dark, cold night. Unearthly composition and sounds are found here with Lux's newest blend of folk on a bad acid trip. The electronic aspect is great too, you can get some really choppy industrial leads (white lies) and really ethereal melodies that just make it a flat out joy to listen to.
8Foreign Fields
What I Kept In Hiding

[Folk] #8. The Sky Life, Bon Iver, and Sufjan Stevens walk into a bar... and there is no punchline. Because this EP is no joke. Maybe this EP just gets me really emotional, but the fine attention to detail in the composition just makes this EP so heartfelt and powerful in it's delivery that you cant not love it.
9God Damn
Vultures

[Lo-Fi/Alt Rock] #9. What makes Vultures so good? Its one of the only 90s revival RFC garbage that didnt suck this year. On the contrary God Damn blend only the best aspects of the big name 90s bands like Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, and Niravana with their own unique hardcore/lo-fi twist that helps keep it grounded in current times. In other words it doesn't sound dated at all.

It's a super powerful one, so I hope you enjoy it.
10Ourfathers.
Movements

[Hardcore/Shoegaze/Post Rock] #10. This is an album from a band that formed shortly after members of their family died, so it's no mystery what the centerpiece of this album is. The mixing and blurring of lines through the genre collision creates a very tense atmosphere bathed in madness and confusion while the vocalist himself has a strong hold with reserved harsh vocals and clean vocals that really help balance the emotional state of mind. It does feel like listening in on the psyche of someone who has lost a dearly beloved and it what makes this EP so damn special.
11Lil Ugly Mane
Oblivion Access

[Rap] Oddest rap record this year. I do like this, but I also think that LUM isn't getting that deep into some of the production on certain tracks so he just osunds out of place and forgetable. Also the last track is the most amazingly rude and sarcastic thing ever.
12Batushka
Litourgiya

[Black Metal] I like the mixture of the "holy" choir and the dark black metal sound of this. It's a nice mixture.
13Caravan Palace
Robot Face

[Electro Swing] THIS IS THE MOST FUN THING EVER TBH.
14BOOTS
AQUARIA

[Electronic/RnB] The mysterious aspect of BOOTS really shines through on this album with how dark and interesting it is. Tracks like I Run Roulette have some of the most unreal production in the genre. The confidence of BOOTS on this record is endearing too.
15Justin Bieber
Purpose

[Pop] Year of Bieber tbh.
16Kate Boy
One

[Pop] The average on this album is a sin. You are all a sin (except for those who gave this a 4+ you all rock). Super interesting bassy pop music with a super intersting vocalist. Listen to it.
17Celldweller
End of an Empire

[Metal/Electronic] Klayton really pulled through on this album. He finally found the perfect footing between his early industrial work and his newer dubstep junk to find a super catchy, super high energy release. Fun times all around.
18Busdriver
Thumbs

[Rap] The chill production doesnt really work with Busdriver's quirkiness at all, but he still manages to pull through because hes Busdriver damn it.
19EL VY
Return to the Moon

[Indie Rock] I think the simpler approach to songwriting overall made this album a better experience, though the second half of this isn't all that special.
20Iglooghost
Chinese NĂ¼ Yr

[Electronic] Wonky tonky electronic junk. One of the best this year.
21Rabbit Junk
Beast

[Hardclash] They still havent been able to top Pop That Pretty Thirty since their return, but they still releasing major jams all day every day.
22Pegboard Nerds
Pink Cloud

[FuckCancer-core] Sweet and bubblegummy, Pegboard Nerds newest EP is just a good ol fun time of interesting dance music that stands out from their peers as always.
23Kauan
Sorni Nai

[Post Rock/Metal] The story of the hikers who lost their lives under mysterious circumstances in the Dyatlov Pass incident. It's narrative is like something straight out of a movie, and the contrast of the angelic opener and the harsh and unforgiving closer really captures a large visualization of what could be going through the heads of those involved in that harsh night.
24Icarus The Owl
Pilot Waves

[Pop Rock] Theres a heavier emphasis on the pop aspect of these guy's music, which is an improvement in all honesty. The technical mumbo jumbo of their earlier work, while impressive, really lacked that edge that could make them memorable. This album thankfully, covers that base with some of the best hooks for a rock album this year. Puts fightstar to shame.
25Deerhunter
Fading Frontier

[Alt Rock] Probably the most mainstream these guys will go, thankfully I don't care.
26Arcane Roots
Heaven and Earth

[Hard Rock] The biggest tragedy is there is only one track with harsh vocals on here. Thankfully the rest of the EP has enough energy and well put composition to compensate. For the most part.
27Neon Indian
Vega Intl. Night School

[Synth Pop] Just that good ol bold synth pop stuff with all the boldness and moxie that one could need.
28City and Colour
If I Should Go Before You

[Folk Rock] Such a smooth album. Dallas really redeemed himself from his previous trainwreck with the most logical step forward from Little Hell. Jazzy and cold in it's sound, Dallas will keep you captivated easily through the entire album. Welcome back Dallas!
29Nicole Dollanganger
Natural Born Losers

[Indie] Not as edgy as her previous stuff and a little more explorative, too. A good exploration into Nicole's deceitful "Wolf in Angels Clothing" psyche that has been her selling point since day one.
30Milo
So The Flies Don't Come

[Rap] Milo gets chill and sweeps across some of the smoothest production ever for a fun ol relaxing time.
31No Devotion
Permanence

[Alt Rock] Quiet, powerful, reserved, energetic, other buzzwords. No Devotion are composed of the remaining members of Lost Prophets (which I wont get into) and them leaving behind their hard rock sound was the best thing they could've done. So much passion on this record from a bunch of dudes who want to get any and all bad mojo off their skin, and boy oh boy do they do just that with this record.
32The Underachievers
Evermore: The Art of Duality

[Rap] Pretty promising release from the under duo. While i think some of the fat should've been trimmed, the tracks that really stand out are just great to listen to.
33Mystery Skulls
Ultra Rare Vol 1

[Electro Pop] Were you like me? Who really hated Luis' debut LP? well, if you are, thankfully he released this collection of unreleased tunes that rings more true to his awesome debut EP. Rough around the edges because not everything is mastered all the way, but consider that a lo-fi fun time.
34Blackalicious
Imani Vol. 1

[Rap] It aint no blazing arrow, but it is still pretty good. If you don't mind cheese, that is.
35Infected Mushroom
Converting Vegetarians II

[Electronic] With Infect Mushroom going full EDM in the late 2000s, it was pretty shocking to hear that they were going to release a sequel to their critically acclaimed Friends on Mushroom from over a decade ago. While it isn't all that similar to it's first counterpart, all the experimental zaniness and wackiness of this album makes it just as compelling and endearing as their first.

If you like some wonky tonky wubba dub dub in the tub with some mixtures of pop here and there, you outta gave this a spin.
36Chalk Dinosaur
Fear or Love

[Indie Rock] It's a nice blend of everything John has done since he started in 2009. I made a very sloppy review for it if you want expanded thoughts.
37Nickelus F and Shawn Kemp
Trick Dice

[Rap] RIP LUM. Great tape collection with some stellar production and good performances all around. Listen to it.
38The Money Pit
The Money Pit

[Pop Rock] Pop rock for those who wanna feel badass.

Also its a side project of the two vocalists from Gatsby's American Dream if that wins you over.
39Travis Scott
Rodeo

[Rap Pop] A time where intentional auto-tune isnt all that annoying.
40Joey Cape
Stitch Puppy

[Acoustic] Just good Ol Joey singing about life and such on his guitar. I love you man
41Digital Velvet
Digital Velvet

[Trip Hop] Ruby My Dear makes a pretty wonky trip hop album with some interesting blends of orchestral arrangements with female vocals and male rapping. If you liked Red Giant, youll probs like this.
42Catcher of the Fade
Catcher of the Fade

[Pop] Hellfyre Club. 'Nough said.
43Carly Rae Jepsen
E MO TION

[Pop] I really, really, really, really, really, really think this is a pretty alright pop album that fully embraces the vintage aesthetic without it being overwhelming or gimmicky while being cute af.
44Toby Fox
Undertale Soundtrack

[8bit] The perfect marriage of all things video games in a very solid soundtrack, youll be humming most of these songs for days.
45Ott
Fairchildren

[Electronic] Maybe not as strong as his last few albums, but still a grand ol time.
46Single Soul/Boring Bathtimes
photo shoot suicide

[Sputnikcore] More sputnik bedroom junk that doesn't suck and is gr8 m8.
47Kill Bill
RESIN

[Nerd Hop] Are you a nerd? Do you hate yourself? Well I got an album for you, you sad and depressed loser.

Seriously though this mixtape is pretty chill, the nerd aspect mainly rooted in the production of the album is pretty interesting and Bill's rapping of self loathing is always a fun time when you're downsome. Have fun.
48I Hate Sex
Circle Thinking

[Powerviolence I think] SCREAAAAAAAAAAAAAM. Some of the most intense vocals out there, if it wasnt for some LOLBAD lyrics, this would without a doubt be the best. Keep an eye out for this chick, she could be going places.
49Antarctigo Vespucci
Leavin' La Vida Loca

[Pop Rock] This was finally the point where Jeff and Chris got their act together and made a great, morbid record that sounds like you are having good ol fun in the sun but you are actually wanting to die. so basically me_irl the album.

seriously though, the composition on this is really competent and Chris has finally dropped that forced gruff tough guy sound he tries so hard to shoehorn into his stuff. If you like some good ol rock, youll love this album no joke.
50Injury Reserve
Live From The Dentist Office

[Rap] The surprise "wow this is good" of the year. These guys dropped their newest for free and it's some of the catchiest and fun rap music for the year. Listen to it because its free you cheap whore.
51Tim Bowness
Stupid Things That Mean The World

[Rock] Ok so like, Steven Wilson. But like, he didnt release a bad album this year. Yeah, now go listen to it you lovely people.
52Brand New
Leaked Demos 2006

[Rock] Ok this is actually cheating since these are demos from 2006 only studio quality now, so basically imagine Fight Off Your Demons but you can hear everything now and its bootyful/10.
53Tame Impala
Currents

[Psych Rock Pop Stuff] Theres a lot about this that can be grating or annoying, but when this album stands out, boy does it really stand out. Eventually is one of the best songs this year.
54Cannibal Ox
Blade of the Ronin

[Rap] It's pretty good, but it's no El-P. I'm kidding though this is actually really good and if you biased against it because El-P ain't producing it you may kindly log off and delete your account.
55Highly Suspect
Mister Asylum

[Rock] Pure. Fun. Rock. These guys have such a great mixture of hard rock and pop hooks with the smooth soulful vocals and slick polished guitar arrangements. I'm glad theyre finally getting the recognition they deserve.
56B. Dolan
Kill The Wolf

[Rap] You wanna feel cool? You wanna feel awesome? Well listen to this bold manly sweat filled rap album with them hard rock riffs and what not. Also it has a song with Buck 65 and Aesop Rock on it, if that wins you over instead.
57Bansheebeat
Lumine

[Sputnikcore] What I like about Lumine is that its really easy to enjoy it as a quick, fun electronic album and a little more sad and melancholic record, too. Everything just flows really smoothly here. Give Rev a nice round of applause for this one fellas, he deserves it.
58Rozwell Kid/TWIABP
Fourteen Minute Mile

[Emo crytimes] Just a nice, short and sweet split record between these two fine young bands.
59Third Eye Blind
Dopamine

[Pop Rock] Sure, the pure emotion that was present on their first album isn't all that present here, but TEB easily compensate with some of the most pure and fun pop rock of the year. Damn I love it when he gets into his falsetto vocals.
60Slum Village
Yes!

[Rap] This is my first experience with these fellas, but everyone here is saying it's their return to glory. So guys, its their return to glory and what not!
61CZARFACE
Every Hero Needs a Villain

[Rap] Bringing back some classic RZA and Ghostface vibes which I can get behind.
62A City Sorrow Built
Ai

[Sputnikcore] Post-rock with hardcore and screamo elements that sounds as pretty as it is brutal. Nice to relax and headbang to.
63The Named
The Named

[Hardcore] Something of a re-recording of their old album. JP really takes the power up ten fold with his vocals and just has a grand ol hardcore rapid fire CHUGGA CHUGGA CHOO CHOO time.
64FFS
FFS

[FFS] Collab between Sparks and Franz Ferdinand. Probably the most mid 2000s british indie rock you can get. Take that as you will.
65Algiers
Algiers

[WORSHIIIIIP] Vocals are obnoxious here and there, but the enthusiasm is great.
66HOLYCHILD
The Shape of Brat Pop to Come

[Brat Pop I suppose] Im gonna slaughter potsy harder than anakin slaughtered those younglings when i become a music sith lord u watch your back m8.
67Kings of the City
No Snake

[Rap] Such a sweet little send off to their vocalist who sadly passed away in 2013. Most of the lyrics here center around self discovery and loss and what not, all of it very clearly puts Danny on a pedestal for the effect he put on everyone involved in the production of this album and it makes me all damn giddy inside. No Snake is one of the best this year.
68Get Bent
Discography

[Pop Punk] One of the more unique groups of the genre. Sadly they arent around anymore.
69Little Simz
Age 101: Drop 4

[Rap] where her damn crown at guys? she is supposed to be king of the pirated smh.
70Jarrod Alonge
Beating a Dead Horse

[Comedy/Metal] What I like about Jarrod more than anything, is that unlike most of the douchebag YouTube "parody" artists as of late, this guy doesnt throw punches at random ass artists and do nothing but make fun of them in his parodies. He very clearly studies the cliches of certain groups of musicians and composes them into some pretty darn hilarious tracks that are even better when enhanced with all the meta jokes and other layers of humor from his personified interviews, music videos, and lyric videos.

Biggest complaint is certain tracks do honestly just seem like legit tracks from the genre he is parodying, which is bad. Like that crunkcore song.
71death's dynamic shroud.wmv
I'll Try Living Like This

[Vaporwave] A E S T H E T I C.
72katie dey
asdfasdf

[Sputnikcore] Cool experimental freak folk junk. Thats all there is to say about it.
73The Japanese House
Pools To Bathe In

[Pop] bite sized reverb snack, yo.
74The Japanese House
Clean

[Pop] [2]
75Alabama Shakes
Sound & Color

[Soul] Howard's vocals alone this a 4/5. Shes the damn reincarnation of James Brown. The biggest detractor of this album is that the rest of the band ain't as up to speed to perfection as she is, but if songs like Dont Wanna Fight or Sound & Colour are any indication, theyre getting there.
76Native Construct
Quiet World

[Jazz Metal Shibbity Bo Bop] Sure, theres enough wankery on here to make Between The Buried and Me Blush. But the over enthusiastic elements of opera and jazz that screams Queen just makes it so damn enjoyable that its hard to hate it. Also this guy has a pretty sick growl that he really knows how to reserve for the most maximum effect.
77This Good Robot
The Light is Taking Me to Pieces

[Alt Rock] Sounds like a lost gem from the 2000s alt rock days. Sure, the last half of the album is a little more bubbly than anything should be, but the first half rips so hard who even honestly cares. For fans of My Chemical Romance because these guys are like them but not bad.
78Currensy
Pilot Talk III

[Rap] Sm0ke weed, listen to some dank smooth af jazzy crap. Best that Currensy has done yet tbh.
79While She Sleeps
Brainwashed

[Metalcore] The greatest tragedy of this album is the distinct lack of piano through-out the album. It kind of removes a lot of depth that was in This Is The Six. Nevertheless, While She Sleeps sound as confident as usual and can still manage to pull through with a pretty strong collection of tracks. Also Modern Minds is one of the best songs this year.
80Kendrick Lamar
To Pimp a Butterfly

[Rap] This Dick Aint FreeeEEEEEEEEEE.

Also, black people dont listen to kendrick.
81Marina and the Diamonds
Froot

[Pop] Marina drops a lot of the boldness of her first and second albums in favor for a chiller, rockier approach to pop music. She still has the attitude and edge mind you, only this time she knows how to serenade you pretty hard with some good ol relaxing on the beach vibes.
82Disasterpeace
It Follows

[soundtrack] this soundtrack is so spooky and unsettling, it does everything that a horror movie soundtrack should do and then some. really nice subtle (and non subtle) melodies that create a very desolate atmosphere while the climaxes of many of these tracks will make you lose sleep at how scared u are.
83Red Giant (USA-NJ)
Drones

[Trip Hop] I introduced these losers to the fine residents of Sputnik. Good ol dark trip hop with some pretty nice female vocals and a good brooding atmosphere. Guest vocalists do drag it down overall though.
84Karin Park
Apocalypse Pop

[Pop] While Karin Park is probably not "the best pop artist this year and is way better than any other horrible pop vocalist you all are praising" she still has some pretty good electronic pop junk for the ears.
85Jack U
Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack U

[Cultural Appropriation-core] Ill Jack U Off tbh ;]

This is a pretty fun record, and Skrillex's more "aggressive" nature from his dubstep days help give it a little more grit for those of us who like to headbang alone in a dark room where no one can judge us.
86A Forest of Stars
Beware the Sword You Cannot See

[Folk Metal] While sometimes the vocals on here can get pretty cheesy, this is still a really good album.
87MisterWives
Our Own House

[Pop] iTunes Review #241 says these guys are the next No Doubt, and I say "AHAHAHAHA no." Super fun pop album with some vague reggae elements intertwined with synth pop and some of the best vocals youll hear from a 20 year old chick.
88Big Blood
Double Days II

[Folk/Psych] It's pretty crazy to think this is a free release honestly. Such an intriguing mix of folk and experimental junk with a lot of different elements to really cement it's lasting power.
89Moderator
The World Within

[Lounge I guess] its pretty good I guess.
90Varien
The Ancient & Arcane

[Electronic] If you like that tribal/electronic fusion bullcrap you'll probably like this. I wish Varien would chill on some of the vocalists though, Veela and Miyoki do a good job with their performances but Holly herself is pretty plain.
91Mr Fijiwiji
Growing Up

[Chill] Mr. FijiWiji is probably one of the best to come out of the Monstercat label, which I havent exactly been fond of in later years, and this EP is no exception. Fij just knows how to keep the chill emotional vibes going with his stuff and it's always a treat to listen to what he makes up. Also it has vocal chopping which is an instant
92Sabrepulse
Blood Eagle

[Chiptune/Electro] dance music and chiptune is a combo I always fall for. Though I wish more tracks were like the T/T and Cart Killa, the more moody stuff aint bd either.
93Viet Cong
Viet Cong

[Alternative] I wasn't too on board with this as most people were, but trying to deny that these guys have something special going on is pretty silly.
94Carpenter Brut
Trilogy

[Synthwave] What makes Carpenter Brut stand out to me more than most synthwave artists is how downright aggressive they sound. You get a lot of gritty electro riffs and whatnot that help deviate the standard synthwave format and these guys manage to keep their songs fresh and stand out from one another. Fun times and a great album to smash peoples heads in to.
95Infected Mushroom
Friends on Mushrooms (Deluxe Edition)

[Electronic] What I always liked about Infected Mushroom is that even though theyre the biggest sell outs in the world, they still carry a sense of their original selves in their more mainstream output. You still get your gritty metallic sound and remnants of pystrance through their more danceable stuff and their ear for catchy melodies makes them still interesting to listen to.

The collabs on here are pretty darn good, too.
96The Districts
A Flourish and A Spoil

[Indie Rock] Doing the indie distortion fest right. The loud mixing of the album works pretty darn well for these guys, probably because its clear that it sounds like a choice aesthetic and it isn't just someone who sucks at his job. Anywho, this album is a pretty darn well treat. The crunchiness of the instruments really help reinforce the strength of some of the hooks on this album (Hounds all day every day) and the vocalist himself is pretty compelling too.
97Rest Among Ruins
Fugue

[Metal] Production issues aside, Fugue showcases an interesting narrative of the hopelessness felt in someone's inevitable death. Meanwhile the vocalist himself offers a lot to the table with a great blend of clean, harsh, and growling vocals (though transitions can be awkward) that sweep across some insanely catchy riffs and hooks. Just an all around good metal album that will get stuck in your head for a while.
98Susanne Sundfor
Ten Love Songs

[Pop] Ten Love Songs is a nice little deviation of your standard electronic pop junk. Maybe it's in the darker undertones of the album, when you get these almost horror movie-esque introduction and interludes and Susanne herself coming in like an angel to contrast the dark sound of the album, maybe its Maybeline. Otherwise, it's a great album for a cold winter night.
99Jamie xx
In Colour

[Electronic] A side project of Jamie from The XX. It's a pretty darn fine record despite getting boring from time to time. Just a nice record to kick back and relax to.
100Archy Marshall
A New Place 2 Drown

[Alternative] I could probably beat the ever living hell out of Fantano tbh.
101The Oh Hellos
Dear Wormwood

[Folk] Trying to describe what it is that The Oh Hellos do that make them so darn special is hard to explain. The happy-go lucky sound, multi vocalist chemistry, and warm melodies all just fit together so damn perfectly that you can't find a fault in anything these guys do no matter how hard you try. Dear Wormwood is no exception, it's a sequel to their previous album, featuring a more optimistic outlook on the future of life (while their last one sealed with the turmoil of the past) while still having that sense of sadness that comes with flirting with the past. It's all around just a nice album to sit down and listen to all the way through for it's easily relatable narrative.
