It's a little known fact that Mr. Youtube Poop Sensation Scatman John was actually an extremely obscure Jazz musician. This album was one of the only released by him, and because it was such a financial failure and the label it released on went under shortly after, he took on the Scatman persona and became a worldwide sensation. rIt's a shame too, this album is such an emotional journey.

This album has absolutely no business being good. With album art screaming "lo-fi hog wash",
Production is stock, lyrics are that odd flavor of "vague emotional phrases" that doesn't really have
any depth, and the vocalist only has one tone to his name. Yet... it works? Really well? Surprisingly
you find yourself sitting through this piece of plastic having a grand time the whole way through, how
and why? I don't know. Do i care? Not really, album is chill. Check it out.

Jackson And His Computer Band Smash
I find myself torn on this record. On one hand this has some pretty kick ass glitch/idm production filled with a lot of grooves and chops that make it insanely infectious... yet on the other hand the concept for this record... some kind of self aware deconstruction of pop music, is so confusing and misguided that it makes it feel like a throw away concept trying to be the primary driving force of the art. Samples especially don't help the album at all.

The Avalanches Wildflower
The Avalanches return after 17 years of silence and endless cock teasing and deliver a new record
that does more or less the same thing as before, only this time the result is more mixed. rStarting with
ra strong introduction between Because I'm Me, a vibrant throw back to Since I Left You with rup'd
production values, an electro-swing jam with Frankie Sinatra, and an urban painting with rSubways
rand it's accompanying interlude Going Home.

From there, the waters get shaky with interludes focused on establishing some form of narrative that
get disinteresting quick and a handful of simply flaccid tracks like The Noisy Eater. The last half
especially abandons any consistency established before with odd toning of neo-psychedelia and your
expected slice of Avalanches themed electronica. The stretch from Live a Lifetime to Over the
turnstiles is especially bad and the final track is a very bland outro with spoken word from FJM.

Overall, despite the bumps, what stands out REALLY stands out and you're too giddy rgetting to hear
The Avalanches again to really care about the blemishes on the surface. rStand Outs: Because I'm
Me, Frankie Sinatra, Subways, Going Home, Colours, Harmony, Sunshine, rLight Up, Step KidsrBlow
Outs: The Noisy Eater, Park Music - The Wozard of Iz, Saturday Night Inside Out.

Edit: "it's okay but kind of underwhelming. Frankie Sinatra is one of the worst pieces of garbage i've
ever heard "

Haywyre Two Fold - Part 2
With what are basically 3 filler tracks on a 9 track album, a very dull ending half, and a very tame sound for an artist who has showcased far more; Two Fold - Part 2 is a very shallow and disappointing follow up to what was a genuinely outstanding part 1. rRecs: Restraint, Dont You
Invalids Strengths
This album's instrumentals and "math" aspects are suffocating, and not in the good way. Vocalist has a great voice tho.

Could Have Been Me is 2016(15)'s rendition of I Wanna Get Better. Super amazing song with a kick ass cheer chorus. Sadly the rest of this album is a mediocre reminder on why rock and roll died in the first place.

Adele 25
As a fellow who liked Adele's last two albums, this is something of a disappointment. The production
of the album has taken a subdued and plain turn. Conforming to the cliches of most "acoustic balld"
style of pop songs where all emphasis is put on a vocalist with a strong voice but nothing else. There
isn't anything here that enriches or contributes to the power of Adele's vocals, so she just floats along
these lifeless melodies as a soulless husk with no personality.

If you really want something this bland, go spin Sam Smith or Ed Sheeran. They do a better job being
bland.

edit: " Boring and honestly lazy but what do I expect from a fat wannabe Sade poseur Soul Queen
who looks like a whale? Not a review at all." < --- can you shut up?

Yawn. There's really nothing more to say about this album except that Dan's influences rubbed off on them in the worst possible way. Much like how Danger Mouse's influences rubbed off Dan in the worst possible way.rJust a giant bunch of boringness. boring boring boring boring.
Charli XCX Vroom Vroom
Citizen Everybody Is Going to Heaven
I just KNOW that there is someone out there who thinks that this album is good on the sole
principle that Citizen is "trying something new." News flash to that dipshit, wherever they may be
roaming, just because it's different doesn't mean it's good.

Edit: Citizen has never been good, now they're just being a little less good.
