Intervals, Plini, Angel Vivaldi, and SUFTA tour

Last night I saw these bands in northern Cali. Really great show. These was music I thought I'd never be able to see live. There was no way I was missing this.
1Save Us From The Archon
L'Eclisse

These guys are just ridiculous. Crazy how they just fit rhythms in the strangest places and both guitars go crazy at the same time and it all syncs great.
2Angel Vivaldi
Away With Words - Part I

This guy is so flashy. Chugging water bottles and taking photos while still shredding. Also having his eyes covered by a band mate for an entire lead part. He is a master tapper.
3Plini
The End of Everything

Interesting artist. Dry humor between songs was pretty good. Great to see the music performed with a full band. I think he wrote and played/programmed everything on the albums himself yes?
4Intervals
The Shape of Colour

They played the whole Shape of Colour album in order. So melodic, so accessible, so catchy, and so tasteful. They also did a 10 minute jam at the end of the set and it was really enlightening to see them play in a more improvised environment. It's really interesting how much Intervals has changed. It seems Aaron Marshall is the only official member but the drummer he has right now is so smooth and perfect in his group. Plini and his bassist were the other members of Intervals. A Voice Within was amazing. And as great and refreshing as The Shape of Colour is, I wonder what Aaron Marshall wants to do with his sound next, if he wants to bring back the heaviness, and what the plans are for a more long term lineup.
