Deathconscious 11.01.18	Ive only had to once, saw Neurosis by myself. Ill definitely do it though if its a band i really want to see. Might have to see The Menzingers and Tiny Moving Parts by myself in a couple weeks but i dont really care, im super stoked.

Minushuman24 11.01.18	There's nothing wrong with that! I've done it far more than I'd prefer. I guess I just had trouble finding people who had close music interests to mine, and I have a bit of social anxiety so I am not great at finding new people to go with or I'd prefer not to ask someone. That being said, at least half the time there's someone there you can converse with.

CugnoBrasso 11.02.18	I saw Silver Mount Zion alone and I don't regret it. It's not like you're going to a party alone, if you're going to a concert you have something to do. I'd definitely do it again.

Dissonant 11.02.18	I did that last summer actually (but then I went to Slayer's final concert with a group of friends shortly thereafter). It was really nice, actually. It was Godflesh, and considering how none of my friends know who that band is, I figured they wouldn't have enjoyed it anyway
deathschool 11.02.18	I go to shows all the time by myself, lol. Once the music starts (which is the reason I’m there), it’s not like it matters anyway.
Dewinged 11.02.18	I used to go to local shows by myself, usually to the same live house, made a lot of friends after some time, joined a band that used to play there and gigged there for a couple of years. Big name bands by myself, no, I haven't done it but I wouldn't mind.
Coast 11.02.18	Quite often, few metal contacts post Uni days. Advent of smartphones made the time between bands easier than staring into nothing like Puddy. Saw ISIS, Opeth and Enslaved alone. Couldn’t miss those gigs.

sizeofanocean 11.02.18	Yes i did too a couple of times. Funny thing is i got to know a dude who went to the same Arcane Roots and Black Peaks concerts and now we attend gigs together almost every second month
pjquinones747 11.02.18	I've gone to more than a few shows alone because a lot of my friends don't give two shits about the stuff I'm into. I've learned to enjoy it well enough even if it's just me.
DoofDoof 11.02.18	It took me until the grand old age of 31 to realise its ok to go to a gig alone if it’s a choice of ‘go alone’ or ‘don’t go’. I missed out on a lot of ‘one chance gig of a lifetime’s because of that attitude in my youth. Just go alone, it’s alright for something ‘unmissable’
BigBlob 11.02.18	last few concerts I went to with friends, as soon as the music starts you always get split up and dont see them until the show is done anyway. so I guess apart from the chatting before the show starts... I dont see it as being much different to going alone anyway

SmurkinGherkin 11.03.18	Seen Godspeed and Tallest Man On Earth on my own, both were so good. And a bunch of bands at festivals, especially when i was younger.
Orb 11.03.18	Ive actually yet to do this. My social anxiety worsens at shows when I don't have homies in tow, for some ungodly reason, even though I'm usually the chattiest one in a smoke circle and have no problems striking up interesting convos with people. Its like a mental block I'm gonna have to deliberately overcome.
LoLifant 11.03.18	@Evok I'd lie if I said it's super easy. Particuarly before the show and between the bands you tend to feel pretty awkward standing around on your own, but there are always others who are alone as well, so start a conversation if you feel the vibes. Or just play with your smartphone or look around the venue/go outside for a couple of minutes. Most people probably don't care about what you do anyway, even if oneself feels watched all the time.

NorwichScene 11.03.18	I often go to gigs by myself these days. Saw a few people last night at Rolo Tomassi by themselves, a couple even couldn’t resist getting in the mosh pit. I just stood to the side as getting too old to get bashed about lol
PistolPete 11.03.18	The kind of music I like...I mean I prefer going alone these days. I don’t really want to have to worry about my friend or girlfriend the whole time and whether they’re enjoying themselves. I also find it easier as one person if I wanna go say hi to the band after.

TheSupernatural 11.04.18	I used to be really nervous about it but now I don't care much. I saw Thrice by myself last month and had a hell of a time at the front and in the pit. Don't think I would have enjoyed it as much worrying about companions to be honest.
