Albums That Changed My View On Music

These are some albums that really made me see music in a different light. They showed me what music could be, both as a listener and a writer.
1Pink Floyd
Dark Side of the Moon

This is the perfect record in my opinion. The music, the lyrics, the studio experimentation, everything was done just right.
2The Mars Volta
De-Loused in the Comatorium

I remember when I first bought this record, I went home and listend to it and then wrote a song. It inspired me so much and just got my creative juices flowing. I had never heard anything like it.
3mewithoutYou
Catch for Us the Foxes

The vocals on here blow my mind. The spoken word/poetic delivery of Aaron Weiss is just incredibly powerful and the music compliments it perfectly.
4Glassjaw
Worship and Tribute

This record is really what got me into this style of music. The music is so chaotic yet beautiful. Darryl Palumbo's voice is one of the best in music today. Glassjaw can go from intense hardcore to melodic and haunting with ease.
5Faith No More
King for a Day, Fool for a Lifetime

What can I say about FNM and Mike Patton? The way that every song is so unique and different from the next blows my mind. Patton is probably the most versatile vocalist of all time. These guys can play every genre of music so well, and they really show that on this record.
