Naruto Movies Ranked
Watched all of these movies recently for the first time. Since the new movie is rcoming out very soon, might as well rank the rest. |
1 | | The New Pornographers Twin Cinema
Road to Ninja - The first movie to be written by the creator, the longest one in length, and
easily the best. It feels like Kishimoto's reaction during the writing of this movie might have been
something like "Yo, this is how you write a non-canon anime movie based off of a manga
series, you noobs." He was the only one who could really write it any ways since it consists
of the most emotional scenes out of any of the other movies. |
2 | | Killer Mike R.A.P. Music
Inheritors of Will of Fire - While it does have scenes that are straight re-caps from the series,
they all helped in telling the movie's story. The fights had some variety to them and it
did showcase more characters that are otherwise just background props in most of the other
movies. |
3 | | Company Flow Funcrusher Plus
Legend of the Stone of Gelel - If I'm not mistaken, this is one of (if not the) only movie to
have a battle with Gaara in it. He doesn't disappoint and neither do any of the other
characters that were featured. |
4 | | The-Dream Love vs. Money
Shppiuden Movie 1 - People who aren't fans of the series in general might find some
satisfaction in Naruto's death scenes. The movie itself is very standard fare, but the battles
are good enough. |
5 | | Nine Inch Nails Broken
Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow - The first Naruto movie released and it consists of one of
some of the more dumb moments out of all the movies. Seeing Naruto going to the movies
and being on the set of another felt ham-fisted. At least the fight scenes were good and I did
really like the snowy backgrounds some of them were in. |
6 | | Talking Heads More Songs About Buildings and Food
The Lost Tower - The ending of this movie might be the coolest of all the movies. I'm sure
I've seen that sort of ending before, but I can't point out where at the moment. The concept
of having Naruto going back in time to fight with his father was a cool concept also. |
7 | | The Police Synchronicity
Bonds - More standard Naruto movie fare, but even though it had some solid action scenes,
the main thing that hurts this movie is how it ends up focusing solely on the main antagonist.
Some of the other movies did this also and when they did, it would usually not be for the
better. It's also one of the only movies to feature Sasuke in it funnily enough. |
8 | | The Stooges The Stooges
Blood Prison - Out of all the movies, this one probably had the most interesting plot.
Unfortunately, this also became the most disappointing of them all. The way it set up
everything around the first act was interesting enough, but it all fell flat on its face after all
the reveals. It ended up focusing too much on its main 2 antagonists and while it did feature
more characters fighting, it was briefly. It was also really stupid to have a scene suggesting
that Naruto might die. No shit he's not dead. It's a fucking non-canon anime film. Your
audience isn't that stupid. |
9 | | De La Soul De La Soul Is Dead
Guardians of the Crescent Moon Kingdom - Fuck this movie, fuck the main characters that
were made specifically for it, and fuck that low budget-ass animation. None of the fights were
all that impressive and I feel bad for any Rock Lee fan that had high expectations for his.
Only for the hardcore and even they shouldn't expect all that much. |
