02.06.13 | Torrents are damn near worthless if you listen to anything that isn't popular as fuck. I still use blogspots when I can. Sometimes I find myself paying for shit more nowadays |

02.06.13 | Bandcamp is a good way to get unknown stuff
but besides that you do what youyou can, but will end up paying for stuff |

02.06.13 | There's this one blogspot that always has new leaks, I just google "mediafire band album" and it's usually in the top 5 results, can't remember what it's called

google an album with the file type zip or rar and date filter it so you get new links as well
ur welcome thx |
Kman418
02.06.13 | I just google "band album mediafire/zip/4shared/blogspot" and I'll usually be able to find something. 4shared is the most reliable one I've found though. If none of those options work though I just wait until I can purchase it. |

02.06.13 | ^^filestube is pretty much everything thx |
nylertickel2
02.06.13 | I just google the album name with either blogspot, zip, download, rar, etc after it. I find most
random blogspots that pop up have download links to like mediafire and stuff. I rarely have trouble
finding a download which I usually just torrent with Bitcomet through like isohuntm pirate bay or
whatever |

02.06.13 | I just buy from mp3million.com. Its a legal site that charges less than 10 cents a song. Its organized and you always get consistent sound quality and album artwork. |

02.06.13 | thanks to slipnslide's idea of editing search on google to most recent I just found all 3 albums I was looking for in like 5 seconds! |
dimsim3478
02.06.13 | what.cd and rutracker are probably the safest. Pirate Bay and other, more popular torrent sites are about 99% safe but then you get that 1% that's "marked" by the company which owns the rights to the pirated files and they'll send a complaint to your Internet provider.
Torrents are the most efficient since it will restart automatically when you restart and download lots of files with a few button clicks. Files on stuff like blogs and file-sharing sites like Mediafire and Rapidgator are good if you can't find what you're looking for in torrents. That should compensate for most of your music library, |
GiaNXGX
02.06.13 | Yeah, because torrents are pretty much worthless for anything "obscure", and if you find a torrent for what you want, it's most likely old and has little to no seeds.
bullshit. |

Deathconscious
02.06.13 | rar and zip files are not almost non-existent...nowadays it takes me slightly longer to find what i want but not being able to get what i want happens very rarely. filestube is a great place to search for files. also, use google. put in the artist, album name, and rar or zip afterward. sometimes not putting the artist in the search helps. you can also try putting blogspot at the end instead, or 4shared. you have to make an account on 4shared to use it. its free though and ive downloaded stuff from there i havent been able to find anywhere else so its worth it.
i usually only use torrents for big files like movies, but if i cant find an album anywhere else ill torrent it. download utorrent or bittorrent, theyre pretty much the same thing (dont use vuze). search for the album on torrent sites like pirate bay (or just use google again and put "torrent" after the artist and album name). open the torrent that has the most seeders (just look up an explanation of seeding and leeching on google) because the more seeders there are the faster it will download (when it asks if you want to open or save the torrent file, click "open"). if it only has one or two seeders it will take a long time to download, or it might not complete downloading at all. sometimes if youre desperate youll just have to use a torrent that doesnt have a lot of seeders and wait a while for it to download at the speed of a snail. you should be able to figure everything out through messing with the torrents and using google for questions.
they are riskier for staying under the radar, but youll be fine as long as youre not downloading something hugely popular, like the avengers or some shit like that. they watch certain things. and even if you do get caught, all youll get is an email from your ISP telling you to stop downloading shit illegally. if youre really worried about it, you can download "PeerBlock". it stops your computer from sending information to 3rd parties, so they wouldnt know if you were torrenting something. be sure to turn it off when youre not torrenting though because it interferes with the use of some websites. |

02.06.13 | I used to use Demoniod before it got shut down. Pirate Bay is banned by my isp.
I now mostly use isoHunt, mp3boo etc. If I like it I buy it!!
Illegal downloaders buy 30% more music than those who don't apparently. I know I've bought loads of bands CD's after listening to it early that I wouldn't of usually done. |

02.06.13 | Had very little trouble finding things through piratebay etc, and even when they're low-seeded it still doesn't take long to download. If it's a new band's demo or debut album then it might not be on there, but those are the guys who need a few quid the most, so I usually just buy in those instances. |

02.06.13 | I have found lately that direct downloads are harder to come by since hosts started getting shut down and stuff, and when i find a download it comes down at 60kb/s. Most stuff I'll find now on Kick Ass Torrents and it comes down at over 2mb/s. For the more underground stuff, you're still best off on filestube or something |

02.07.13 | Alot of dead links now with filestube, generalfiles, mediafire, blogs, etc for me. At least for the more obscure shit. 4shared, zippyshare, filefactory, depositfiles, rapidgator, and rapidshare has some stuff but not everything. Torrents are mostly just good for more popular stuff, although sometimes they surprise you. I just downloaded soulseek the other day but not really sure how to use it yet ha, so we'll see. Have to check rutracker too. |
