  • SandwichBubble You mean BetterRYM? Even with that, I don't really know RYM's policy for insane track names like this and wouldn't trust it or myself to make the necessary corrections. "L O S T M Y * M O O N B O O T S * jumpin' out from tha * Astral Plane" indeed.
    March 5 12:28 AM
  • SandwichBubble Thanks as always! Will check tomorrow. | I'm very glad someone already uploaded that to rym because I don't even know where I would begin with adding that mess of a tracklist.

  • ArsMoriendi Haha maybe Johnny? I?m a bad choice, I?m prob also a bad choice for groove metal but no one else was gonna do that one lol
    April 6 08:49 PM
  • ArsMoriendi Since 3/5 of the remaining new tags (hair metal, viking metal, and instrumental rock) are useless...I went ahead and made the groove metal. But I'm curious, do you plan on doing one for power electronics?

  • Oceandrowned You still have some good human?s in the UK, Scottish people are the best and finest folks i?ve ever met aboard. At this point there is no need to make any difference between collective west for us, Russians, especially between US/UK. Total lockstep, zero sovereignty, all ruled by bankers/MIC thugs. Total reminiscent of 3rd reich, albeit hidden under lgbt/human rights/green energy shenanigans. Very convenient way too hide your real agenda which is total imperialistic world domination.
    December 23 07:37 PM
  • Oceandrowned Don?t worry, if the US will start a direct war against us, i wish you a swift evaporation, instead living such a miserable life of a lock-stepped nuclear burned maggot. Indeed i m ashamed that i was living and studied in US and liked your culture. You are all ****in fake faces in the end, too brainwashed, too entitled, too ignorant to find any meaningful way of communicate with the world besides non ending wars/military domination and financial ponzis you shoved the world up to the ass.
    December 23 06:58 PM
  • Oceandrowned Funny s*** is you all talk the same s***, like some sort of s***ty AI, no point wasting time on brainwashed fools, i really hope Putin steps in and nuke the s*** out of this broken place.
    December 23 09:32 AM
  • Oceandrowned Your whole ****in imbecile civilization of retarded lgbtq nonsense will deal with that calamity for years to come, i ****in dare you, maggot imperial us fascist.
    December 23 09:30 AM
  • Oceandrowned You are delusional at best, brainwashed by mass media to the core and probably vaccinated with an experimental jab. We are different species already, you are more like a fake meet made of maggot sauce, than a real steak. Go to back your pasture, fool. Or better move to trenches in Ukraine, show the whole world what is THE proper support. ****in entitled braindead westerner. You attacked Russia 3 times in past 300 years, and you are still stupid enough to attack us through your proxy puppet Ukr.
    December 23 09:29 AM
  • SandwichBubble Looks cool. Will check it and the early stuff later today.
    December 22 11:53 PM
  • Oceandrowned Ohh, so another Banderas fan. How unsurprising, considering this site reputation last decade. Seriously, current western society is like clone army made by mass media factory.
    December 22 05:27 PM
  • Oceandrowned So whats so weird in my comment? Check whats goin on in US parliament, comical if not so sad.
    December 22 02:03 PM

  • Viriathus I'd probably say that Phantom Tollbooth at the very least verges on Screamo, if not actually being it. Manages to pre-dates Honeywell and In/Humanity and sounds more interesting than both by that track.

  • tectactoe ?It?s not you, it?s me.? I seem to have trouble getting into anything RYM classified as ?Deconstructed Club? despite my best efforts to try. Only somewhat recent release with that tag I?ve enjoyed is Kai Whiston?s NO WORLD AS GOOD AS MINE back in 2019. If you have any more eclectic recs in the genre I?d be happy to give them a shot; it?s currently not my forte.
    September 22 12:07 PM
  • tectactoe Also thanks for the reminder / I?ve been meaning to rec this to you since I first heard it but kept forgetting. (Was surprised to see you hadn?t already rated it.) https://anwarsadat.bandcamp.com/album/ersatz-living

    September 7 12:16 AM
  • CottonSalad Cool! Glad you dig it, haha?still haven?t heard it, been traveling all day (finally landed in the UK for new life) - but I?m definitely gotta check it out tomorrow.
    September 3 05:54 PM
  • CottonSalad Have you checked out ?Lopez Trio / Live at Roulette?? Not in the database yet I believe, just came out last week. Haven?t heard yet, but I follow Brandon Lopez in general and figure it?s worth checking.
    September 3 01:44 AM
  • CottonSalad Loved Autoschediasms! Really loved what AWS did with Sorey?s cues and general energy - really inspiring. The concert piece for Lewis I was a little less hyped on - a lot of Feldman, a bit of recent Eliane Radigue - may have to listen a few more times, but the space didn?t feel really personally ?heard? in ways that I know Sorey is great at (although I am not the biggest fan of his more notated stuff anyway?). Cheers for these! Will definitely be keeping Auto.. in my rotation for a while!

    April 6 11:11 PM
  • SandwichBubble I called the guy that added "sasscore" as a genre stupid. And lame for having a private account. It was in the genre comments for Death From Above's newest album, but I'm sure they've d3leted the exchange by now. | Only a 2 week suspension though, no big deal.

    March 11 11:46 PM
  • ArsMoriendi Do you use Discord? and if so would you interested in joining the Casual Conversation discord?

  • SandwichBubble Looking into it, it seems like "cuddlecore" was used to describe 1 band (Cub) and is now retroactively being fitted to other bands, despite there not being an actual definition. Fair enough, but I'm still just going to call it "twee." | Again, why bother though? There's zero chance anyone there changes their minds. If/when it passes, I'll just kindly eat s*** and move on.
    March 11 09:42 PM
  • SandwichBubble If it's more in line with punk rock, why didn't whomever put it under that instead of indie rock? | Honestly, the odds of it not being approved are slim, so I don't know why I'm bothering. If "Lo-fi / Slacker Rock" got approved over there, it's a lost cause.
    March 11 07:37 PM
  • SandwichBubble If it's just twee and indie rock, why not just use those together instead of making an entirely new genre? Just seems like it'll only be used by the 10 most popular albums and then never again.
    March 11 06:15 PM
  • SandwichBubble Seems unnecessary.
    March 11 06:08 PM
  • TaiL4ever Appreciated AhRd
    March 9 01:08 PM
  • SandwichBubble Well, they're both the same album, just with a few differences. I didn't really want to just have the 1994 version by itself, cause that's a reissue. I say just leave it as is.
    March 8 06:24 PM
  • SandwichBubble Pretty good cover, improvement on the original in my book. Thanks for the link.

    March 4 04:56 PM
  • evilford Yo i hope u didn't take that convo park and I were having in the voivod thread as me saying I dont like u or smth cuz that's definitely not the case. I was just saying that u rate a lot of albums (all metal i think lol) low/lower, which is perfectly fine. Just was saying in that context, a 1.5 from u on a voivod album may indicate that I'd enjoy it lol
    March 4 04:55 PM
  • MementoMori Much appreciated!
    March 4 10:54 AM
  • someone and yet it's neither avant-garde nor psychedelic
    March 3 06:42 PM
  • someone but for real, do you not hear the crescendoing long-winded noodliness in the t/t there?
    March 3 06:23 PM
  • someone silly me not using "as" or "like" in my similes. what would i have done without you, Rate Your Music Database Editor-in-Chief
    March 3 05:46 PM
  • SandwichBubble Yep, exactly like that. | If it's bothering you, you could always shorten the "Straight Horn" album name, but it's fine either way.
    March 2 09:18 PM
  • SandwichBubble I think "The Straight Horn of Steve Lacy" is pushing them all to the side. There's empty space between both columns, so whenever there's a long album name, it takes up that space. I'd test it, but I don't want to mess it up.
    March 2 08:53 PM
  • SandwichBubble Yeah, but it's finnicky. I only got it to work using internet explorer/edge (of all things). | On my first try, I picked a massive picture of a monkey eating lettuce and I couldn't get it to change for a good 20 minutes.
    March 2 08:20 PM
  • SandwichBubble I just wanted to see if it'd work is all, promise. Wonder if it's considered a bannable offense.
    March 2 08:15 PM
  • SandwichBubble Sampled a bit, sounds cool at least. Thanks.
    March 2 08:07 PM
