Why do people give actual ratings to albums
before they come out. Single slaps hard

Didn't know much about these guys before seeing them at UK Tech Fest this year, absolutely stellar show and this album is amazing. Definitely a highlight of the modern metal calendar for 2022.

Combines vaporwave, chillwave, new age and SNES OSTs to create something that sounds like the soundtrack to a forgotten psychedelic Apple exclusive point and click adventure game from the nineties.

Harbinger [UK] Compelled to Suffer
Huge step up from the EP. Compelled to suffer is a very fun modern death metal album. Throw in a bit of hardcore
influence in there and you've got a thoroughly enjoyable, if a little shallow, listen.

Harbinger are a band to watch going forward should they take another step forward on their sophomore effort.

Upon a Burning Body Red. White. Green.
Upon a Burning Body Southern Hostility
I enjoy the hell out of this. It's not much like their earlier Deathcore material, but taking the plunge and going full Groove
Metal has definitely benefited what was otherwise a band struggling to write a single memorable song.
Usurpress Ordained
Severely under-appreciated album. Very solid death metal release with a lot going for it.
Wailin Storms One Foot in the Flesh Grave
Really enjoyed my time with this album. High paced punky blues. A lot of fun.
Whitechapel The Valley
Wristmeetrazor Misery Never Forgets

3.0 good
A Wake in Providence The Blvck Sun || The Blood Moon
It's alright. The Darkened Gospel single was excellent, this album doesn't have anything as good as that, but I enjoyed it.
Will probably give another couple of spins. Good quality, albeit a bit generic, deathcore.
Architects Holy Hell
Bring Me The Horizon amo
Code Orange Underneath
Creeper Eternity, In Your Arms
Devin Townsend Project Epicloud
Hearteater A House in Rapture
Interesting mix of metallic hardcore, southern styled metalcore and Alt Rock from Scandinavia ? an interesting combination if nothing else. Probably deserves some more ears on it.
In Flames Sounds of a Playground Fading
Misery Signals Misery Signals
Motionless in White Creatures
Nosound Allow Yourself
Good background music, nothing all that grabbing. Sadly has the issue of reminding me of bands
I'd rather be listening to that bring more to this sort of atmospheric etherial post-rock. Certainly
not a wasted listen, however.
Pulled Apart By Horses Pulled Apart By Horses
Queensryche The Verdict
Probably needs a few more listens but not as immediately taken with this one as with Condition Human, feels a little less punchy. Still good either way.

Deathstars Everything Destroys You
For a band that has previously lived or died on the strength of their chorus hooks, the Scandi-Goth rockers really dropped the ball here. If you really need to listen to Deathstars in 2023, you're better off with Night Electric Night.
