Megadeth Rust in Peace
One of thrash's greatest records ever released. Mustaine's riffs, Marty's solos, Menza's drumming skills, Jr.'s bass playing, the band's musicianship, and production make this Megadeth's top notch album, Mustaine's riffing is best demonstrated on Holy Wars...The Punishment Due, Marty's solo in Tornado of Souls is one of the most melodic solos in metal and one of the best of all time, both Mustaine and Friedman's prime example of trade-off leads is the outro solo of Hangar 18, Rust In Peace...Polaris showcases Menza's mad drumming skills, Ellefson's bass line in Five Magics is one of his best, not to mention the fact the song is underrated in the Megadeth catalog. Lucretia has constant time signature changes which makes the song interesting. Highlights: Holy Wars...The Punishment Due, Hangar 18, Five Magics, Lucretia, Tornado of Souls, Rust in Peace...Polaris
Mercyful Fate Don't Break the Oath
Metallica Ride the Lightning
Many people say that Master of Puppets is Metallica's classic album, I object. Ride the Lightning takes the cake for Metallica's best album. James's riffs/melodies, Kirk's solos, Cliff's amazing bass skills, and hell, even Lars's drumming is really good. Every song from start to finish is pure greatness, but the melodies on here grab the attention the best. Highlights: Ride the Lightning, For Whom the Bell Tolls, Fade to Black, Creeping Death, The Call of Ktulu
Miles Davis Kind of Blue
Kind of Blue is proof that Miles Davis was an absolute genius, even if you don't listen to jazz, this is highly recommended. Highlights: All Blues, Flamenco Sketches, So What

Megadeth Peace Sells... but Who's Buying?
A stellar album, Megadeth has taken it to the next level with Peace Sells...But Who's Buying?, while KISMBABIG was a great start to the band's career, it lacked dynamics, Chris Poland's playing is top notch, and the trade offs and harmonies between Poland and Mustaine can be best demonstrated with Wake Up Dead, Peace Sells (and can't forget that awesome bass line played by Jr.), Devils Island, and the epic Good Mourning/Black Friday, My Last Words is perhaps one of Mustaine's best solos ever played on any Megadeth album, the only song that brings the album down from being a 5 is the horrible cover of I Ain't Superstitous, aside from that, Megadeth really took off with this one. Highlights: Wake Up Dead, Peace Sells, Devils Island, Good Mourning/Black Friday, My Last Words
Mercyful Fate Melissa
Metal Church Metal Church
Metallica Master of Puppets
Without a doubt a classic, but Ride the Lightning still gets my top Metallica pick. It is similar to Ride the Lightning when it comes to song structure. Battery starts off slow and acoustic then turns into a blaze of fire, Master of Puppets is about the what drugs can do to you, created like a symphony, probably their finest work. Welcome Home (Sanitarium) is one of their best power ballads and Orion puts Cliff's bass skills to the test. Disposable Heroes is arguably the most underrated Metallica song about the horrors of war. One of the only cons is that Damage, Inc. is a twin song of Battery except the intro. Highlights: Battery, Master of Puppets, Welcome Home (Sanitarium), Disposable Heroes, Orion
Miles Davis Bitches Brew
Miles Davis In a Silent Way
Miles Davis Jack Johnson
Minor Threat Out of Step
Probably one of punk's greatest releases, you can tell that thrash metal bands would be influenced by this, I mean, hardcore punk is part of thrash's origins and this is an excellent example of it. Because the album is only 21 minutes long, the album's pretty inexpensive and goes by real quick after you listen to the whole album. This maybe Minor Threat's only studio album, but its influence will not go away. If the album weren't so damn short, this would be a 5. Highlights: Betray, It Follows, Look, Back, and Laugh, Out of Step, Cashing In

Megadeth Countdown to Extinction
One of Megadeth?s more overrated affairs. You can easily tell that this is very similar to Metallica?s self-titled Black Album. The album starts off strong with the first 3 songs but takes a dip right in the middle. Foreclosure of a Dream, This Was My Life, and High Speed Dirt go into a hard rock territory, that would be a spoiler alert for what they would eventually do on Risk. The album?s closer Ashes in Your Mouth is easily the most Megadeth song on the whole album. Highlights: Skin O? Pantera Reinventing the Steel
The most devastating thing about this album is that this is Pantera's final album and also their weakest album, it has the elements that made Far Beyond Driven as weak as it ended up being, like lack of solos and weak musicianship due to Phil's relations with the rest of the band, but has cheaper production now that Terry Date was out of the picture, the first side is the weak point of the album, Hellbound is a good start, but repetitive, Goddamn Electric and Yesterday Don't Mean S**t are soundcheck riffs with the solos saving it from being completely average, You've Got to Belong to It and Uplift are the worst Pantera songs ever created by the band behind Good Friends and a Bottle of Pills from FBD, Revolution Is My Name is the undoubted highlight of the album, with the elements of a classic Pantera song, the second side on the other hand is pretty promising, aside from Uplift, Death Rattle and We'll Grind That Axe for a Long Time have very catchy hooks, It Makes Them Disappear has a doomy drop C riff and one of Dime's most melodic solos ever created, and ends strong with I'll Cast a Shadow, despite not having a solo on it, but the riffs are heavy, groovy, sludgy, and an epic outro. Highlights: Revolution Is My Name, Death Rattle, We'll Grind That Axe for a Long Time, It Makes Them Disappear, I'll Cast a Shadow

Metallica Hardwired...To Self-Destruct
Best thing they've released since the Black Album, though that's not saying much, this is a step up from Death Magnetic, especially production wise, the length is a big drawback on here, Hardwired revisits Kill Em' All but not Kirk's high point solo, but still good nonetheless, when it gets to Moth Into Flame and Halo On Fire, the Metallica goodness kicks in, Dream No More is yet another throwback, but towards Sad But True, Spit Out the Bone is perhaps the best song they've made in a while, and James's vocals are top notch. But after the first half of the album, it does not hold up. ManUNkind has a great intro, but is a complete clusterf**k in the end. Am I Savage and Murder One are snoozefests and doesn't bring much. Here Comes Revenge tends to drag. In the end, it's a great album, but it'll never be another Ride the Lightning or Master of Puppets. Highlights: Hardwired, Atlas, Rise!, Moth Into Flame, Dream No More, Halo On Fire, Spit Out the Bone

We all know Axl isn't the best lyricist, since the band has always made fun of his lyrics, he decided to be political and write about something serious. Sorry Axl, it's overproduced and it does not take 11 years to record an album and make it perfect

Iron Maiden No Prayer for the Dying
Wtf happened?? After the classic Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, they transitioned to early NWOBHM but more simplistic and generic, the famous songs are the most annoying too, Bruce uses too much raspiness in his voice, the music is bland and uninspired. Pantera Far Beyond Driven
This album has grown on me overtime, but Pantera has seen better days, Dime has shorter to no solos, Rex gets lost in the mix easily, Vinnie is less technical, and Phil tries to be the main sound over everyone else, though the album has its fair share of great songs and bad songs, Good Friends and a Bottle of Pills is easily the worst song they ever created (in their metal era), Throes of Rejection and Use of My Third Arm sound like the same song, but the first four songs are killer, and the Sabbath cover. Highlights: Strength Beyond Strength, Becoming, 5 Minutes Alone, I'm Broken, Slaughtered, Throes of Rejection (only because of the kick-ass solo), Planet Caravan

Metallica Reload
Is there really a reason for this albums existence? The rejects of Load were released onto this album, I?ll admit, Fuel is a fun driving song, Devil?s Dance is heavy as fuck, and Prince Charming is an underrated gem. They should?ve just put the best songs from both those albums and put it into one.
