The Charme of Dominating's build section is thunderously adrenaline pumping. and the riffs that come in on the break have
to be some of the best I've heard. Can't get enough of it. Nighttime Poet, Daytime Dead ends similarly sick.

Whole album is awesome; its too bad their follow-ups didn't match this one.

Yes, yes... Miss may i were scene band years ago... yes yes you think everyone dislikes them
now so this can't be good... yes yes... but then actually listen to it. Full songs, not just
weak choruses in the middle of poo piles. Sharp riffs, non-filler verses, non-self-pitying
lyrics, even a tasty solo thrown in here and there. Realistically, after releasing primarily
generic duds for the majority of their career, they made something different. Yes yes...
everyones taste is incredibly genuine... but come on now, think of how people will let their
taste be manipulated by social impressions - admit it. People think they should disrespect
this. But have some onions. This album is simply excellent. Really it's probably a 4.1, but
scadoosh... 4.5.

Inherently excellent, but should be a lot better. How bout a blessed chorus, please? So sick
of these esoteric genres unrelenting need to avoid all formulaic structures. Its no good for
anybody, and it's why they all get tired. Enough whining and suffering for thirteen minutes
and just let it bang for four minutes, or the tears run dry with no triumph on the horizon.

Architects All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us
No Architects release as of yet had wowed me on first listen, but this did. It isn't necessarily that the album doesn't have its flaws - like most other Architects albums, it suffers from sounding a bit too similar throughout. The atmospherics and vocals blend in a way that make many tracks sound similar to one another. But that doesn't change the fact that they sound awesome, to me at least. What elevates this release above their others for me is the rhythm. Its more accessible, but its catchier and it prevents blandness in the verses. Many of the verses sound like builds, and almost all of the songs build to satisfyingly climaxes, where they're composing more and more melodies on top of one another. The end result is feeling swept up in the tracks the whole way through, gradually getting more and more enveloped by the atmospherics. By the time the last three tracks arrive, the lyrical content of the album has sufficient traction in my head to have me along for the lyrical ride of the last few tracks. Memento Mori closes it hugely, and perfectly.

Its possible the early high rating could drop, but I doubt it. I basically think Architects have been building to this, and they nailed it. Real happy they allowed themselves to be more accessible and drop some of the chaos to focus on melody and message. Hard to see me not jamming out pretty consistently to a bunch of tracks. Phantom Fear, All Love Is Lost, and Memento Mori hit me hardest on first listen.
Architects Holy Hell
straight-up superior mainstream metalcore at this point, no doubt. Thought I'd moved on, especially after the singles were shit and ticked me off, but album actually won me over. half of it still feels pretty grimy, but the other half or maybe a third feels very right. holy hell was the first keep for me, just barely made it. then dying to heal made the real claim. seventh circle wasn't a rehash. and a wasted hymn closed it well enough. emotions were definitely flowing by the end. though I admit there was a vast space for righteousness to lay hammer... maybe next time, on Architects... r

This is actually pretty great. Might even be pushed up to a 4. Not a lot of bullshit at all this time around, though I'm not a huge fan of the abundance of solos, but that's a preference of mine. Shadows' voice not being what it used to be holds the album back a bit overall cause he sings out of his range at times, but he still gets the job done for me. "God Damn" is god damn catchy, "Angels" is a solid ballad, "Sunny Disposition" even throws in a pretty phat brass instrument of some sort i believe for its chorus. Whole album adds a bit more mild thrash. And lyrics are just far better overall

Converge The Dusk in Us
Has some great moments. But ends up falling victim to the classic Converge, namely being unable to capitalize consistently on some incredibly teasing material. ra single tear has a good chorus. eye of the quarrel ends well. the dusk in us is almost great, and would be if the guy was actually a singer so that he could stretch himself and do the spoken word section well. Wildlife has a great chorus. Broken by Light has a hilarious breakdown riff at the end, but luckily it was only for 10 seconds and leads to the end of the song... cannibals is a solid track, but just that... classicly too good to not keep in your library, but not good enough to actually listen to... thousands of miles is a solid track too, again, if the vocalist could stretch, it would probably go places, but alas, another library benchwarmer. reptilian is basically a converge rendition of a metallica song that's almost as good as a good metallica song, but is just kinda boring. rStill good enough to listen to a whole bunch of times, but still 100% falls into the frustrating category of not being that good. Listening to about 6 of the tracks right now consistently, but if I were to guess, won't be listening to a single track next month. That's frustrating. rEve was still probably the best track they've released this year. rIts just way better than 3's obviously, that's why it gets a 3.5. But the taste in my mouth is more sour than that. I want to give it a 2.

One of the best deathcore releases in years. Epitomizes the need for melo-deathcore. All the best choruses on this absolutely slap. Too much shite in between. Die, rise should be a five minute banger and one of the best songs in recent memory, but instead it?s eight minutes with some of the worst parts on my iPod. A ton of fresh moments throughout the album, a ton of shite. Still elite for deathcore. Top 5 for sure.!

Just way too monotonous overall. Have been a huge fan of standout tracks of ABR over the years, like FIFAP's Martyr, but
just far too often its riffage for no reason. Too often its just a bunch of 'songs' that don't really sound unique, or cohesive,
or purposeful. Maybe its me growing out of it, maybe its just that its getting this stale for me at this point, because I think it
sounds pretty similar to R & R overall, but it hit me very lightly this time around. It also sounds just kind've odd how bland
Jake's lyrics are sometimes because u would feel like he'd have better stuff if he so chose to write something less
accessible. but maybs not, really have no idea.

after a few listens, it was a bit better. King of Sorrow, Quake, and Dangerous are sufficiently satisfying.
Aversions Crown Xenocide
Not as good as it could've been. Got pretty comedic how many times he said shit like "vortex" - has a few stunning sections, as do the best death core bands. But that's still what it is. Deathcore, which means a whole lot of blugghh ruggha blughhski and if you're lucky 3 songs an album with 40 seconds of gold. Singles had the best moments for me, so I was disappointed by the album as a whole. But yeah. These guys are some of the best in the genre. but will be hoping for better next time.

edit: Good tracks actually better than I thought. Some of the beats are kinda fur. actually evolve
through the song. but honestly, he's gotta drop both trying to be technical and talking about life in
the cyber spotlight/lusting after public approval. shit is lame. just talk about truth or some shit lol.

Now they're trying to speak to a younger/wider audience. I give them credit for producing catchy music. If you want to call

Has some good moments, and its all good pop music overall, and a fairly interesting kind. Actually different, as far as
generic music goes. But way more generic. Definitely has lost the personal touch and has gone for the accessible route.
Far inferior to their self-titled, but its a decent thing for kids to be listening to. Should definitely have dropped a lot of the
slow tracks from the album though. Do you Really Want It is a pretty cool radio song. Fade in/Fade Out is a solid, emotional,
but accessible track as well. Overall, not what I was hoping for, but not much respect lost. Hopefully next album is for the
band themselves instead of for a popularized message, but as far as popularized messages go, its good.
Of Mice and Men EARTHANDSKY
much better than the shite they've been producing lately.rdoesn't rlly sound like of mice and men,
minus the whiny cleans every other song.rits some weird assemblage of thrashy metalcore, but its
not terrible. how to survive is almost a banger, but kinda loses momentum second half and lyrical
delivery is nearly problematic on chorus. good enough tho. hence i'm writing this. for of mice and
men, this is high praise.

Pretty disappointing for sure.rBand has talent and most of the songs touch something good but end up falling back into the expected and bland. Clean vocalist is capable and should be great, but a ton of boring choruses here. Harsh vocalist is great. Inhumane still best song on the album by far. rThe obvious tragedy aside, always a little strange when you have a death in the band from a listener's standpoint because on one hand I want to cherish and honor the memory, and on the other, feels like a sign that this is not the direction for the living. Album title and lyrics point to that as well. RIP Ryan, really sucks. Bless his soul. rHope band sticks with it even after or makes a new band same members, clearly capable of making some kickass metalcore.
Portrayal of Guilt We Are Always Alone
Daymare was one of best tracks all-time minus the semi anti-climactic and sophomoric 'I'm
heavy' ending. Hope this band is sleeping on a few more diamonds.Mostly it's just pretty
rough right now.You might like that, but then you probably like a lotta shite. Yes, it

a little preachy and self-righteous and shallow. like how many times can you use the word truth and talk about looking at
yourself honestly while getting into zero deep philosophical issues? also the whole 'there is no point' and having to go back
to better days is a little bit pussy. also the 'you are free, no matter what' followed by arguing someone else would have
doomed him if he stayed with them sounds hypocritical. That being said, have loved these dudes from day 1, and this still
has a few solid tracks. Overall, like the production, like the sound for the most part. 2nd half of album lags though. Inner
Authority is a good track. Still recommend it.
But would be great if they stopped worrying about being marketable (and based on his lyrics, the opinions of others) and
just make a raw hardcore record. But idk I guess maybe they never really were that. but frustrating that some of these
hardcore/metalcore bands that you're listening to when you're 18 are actually like 26, and then you grow up another 5
years and they're kind of in the same place... these dudes were the best of the bunch imo though.

All That Remains Overcome
All That Remains Victim of the New Disease
Miles ahead of past releases. There were at least three-four songs where guitars sounded on FOI level... unfortunately, not a single complete song on here. The ones with good guitars have the blandest chorus ever - the ones with a decent chorus are complete mush pies - and then of course there's those moments where Phil thinks he's the br00talist dude in metal just seconds after sounding like a whiny boy and he wants to try the deepest lows ever in a nonsensical display of pseudo-machismo. at least Oli went out with some respectable riffs (see misery in me, broken). rwhat is with this style of cleans tho? like the killswitch engage sorta, like somewhere between a musical and emo. it just sounds so un-candid. especially when phil puts on the whiny pop voice for songs like meant what i said. actually really liked the cleans on for we are many, so don't know what happened.

A Day To Remember Bad Vibrations
I'd rather poop myself than listen to some of these songs. Justified, We got This, and Forgive and Forget have to be some of the biggest turd heaps I've stepped on in a while. Pretty bad in comparison to the decently genuine Common Courtesy. This is more like a collection of pop songs.

Some redeemable tracks on here at least tho - Reassemble being the best probably. The first half of the album is pretty enjoyable.

Pretty disappointing throughout. Really annoying writing choices. Why all the hasty transitions? Like are they going for surprise over and over? Has a couple dope sections here and there, like 1 part in Real and 1 part in Spy, but even those songs end up kinda sucking. they sound real hard at times tho.

The Dillinger Escape Plan Dissociation
So here's that other viewpoint in contrast to all these 5's, and why: This band reminds me of all of those insecure boys and
girls out there that try to be different, aggressive, and rebellious for the sake of their own self-image while believing in
practically nothing that would warrant such a temperament. Dissociation is the product of thinking Infinity should be
'calculated.' A lesson in self-righteous excess, and the idolization of knowledge as separate from wisdom. The result is a
technical piece of art demonstrating powerful narcissism that is unsurprisingly equally as popular as the rest of their
discography. Its got "everything" a kid trying to appear deep and struggling could ask for. But at the end of the day, if you
listen past all the different skilled affectations Puciato does on this album, and you make it through all the masturbatory
noises coming from the guitars showcasing their technicality, you can hear him in the title track sound just like the whiny
scene metalcore vocalists especially around 2:25. There is no doubt this band has talent, and they even produce some
good melodies a few times in spurts of 10 seconds, but this band is what everyone who is a pussy thinks is intense. power
without virtue. I wouldn't be so hard on them of course if this album was a 3.4. But the fact that this is put on a pedestal is
a sorry state of affairs that I have no doubt has helped encourage countless youths to dig deeper into their own egos with
piteous self-loathing masquerading as remorse. Thus I write this in the hopes of discouraging that.
Three Days Grace Transit of Venus
Throats Throats
While She Sleeps You Are We
Pretty horrible in comparison. And its not even that its horrible. Its just blatantly popularized and no longer authentic. A totally different listening experience. Shocked at the rating so far. To me, its terribly rehashed and boring. Sounds like a band that tours with AA and features Oli Sykes and is now imitating the most accessible aspects of its own sound. rThe first half of Feel shows what might've been.r

Devil Sold His Soul Loss
This band once released an album called 'Hope.' It is telling that the same band is now releasing 'Loss.' There was hope on those first albums; there is pretty much just loss on this. Very little adrenaline, very little strength. Tons of weakness, if that's what you're into. Oh man are Gibbs' cleans a new level of bad this time around, like if you like them, you need to reconsider your direction of self lol. Suffering worship that I have no taste for pitying... I wash my hands of this shit, and so should you. There was a dream that was rome proximo, this is not it. This is not it.

Killswitch Engage Disarm the Descent

If this album were the first I'd listened to by the band, I would say it was good. But the fact that the band is still doing this is honestly embarrassing. rIts a disrespect to Somewhere at the bottom... you would've thought the people who wrote that album would have progressed further by this point. Instead, it feels like they're doing themselves lukewarm. If I was a woman, I would have left this man. Like, can you become a man, and stfu and actually do something about life instead of continuing to perform in an edgy soap opera? rthis is another band that sputnik seems to be sucking on due to past prestige when the reality is they were good before, not now. rThey need to move on. And ppl sucking on them is part of why they're probably not. Cause all the infatuated emo-artsy kids and holding them exactly where they idolize them. it annoys me. the spotlight ruins the artist 90% of the time.

Untitled had some incredible moments. At this point, I could see the band revealing that
their past two albums were just a joke mocking the way people can fall for any
experimental bullshit they concoct as long as they just have the agency to follow through
with it. Its unlikely, but thats my hope, because it sounds like confused horse noises.

Just getting grosser and grosser at this point tbh. Band just systematically making
themselves a brand, talking about mental health and shee, and selling songs called
systematic and telling you to resist a vague system while telling you to become a part of
their 'society'. On top of that, the music is sounding hollower with every release.
People should be less gullible than this. But I understand, it can be tough sometimes.
They used to be really good, but look out for hypocrisy kids. They sellin it to you.

Instead of them trying to be us, they should just be themselves again, and let us be us.
See how that goes.
