5.0 classic
Animals As Leaders Parrhesia
As always, a community of music experts who have never written a song or are able to notate a C major scale in
treble clef offer their insight about an album that went in one ear and out the other simply because it’s not music
to play in the background while they get yelled at by mother for leaving their dirty dishes in the sink. This album is
simply too difficult, too dense for the average Sputnikmusic Ebert slash Roeper to comprehend. If this was
Radiohead, perhaps even Oasis, one could imagine the accolades it would accumulate. Unfortunately the lack of
power chords and high pitched, emotive vocals is enough to generate the expected apathy of an entire website
of people that give high praise to the likes of Brand New and Charli XcX.

Wild Nothing Life of Pause
Jack Tatum has an incredibly diverse range of influences and this release reinforces that. Clear references to 80's pop shine through most of this album and there are even a couple nods to his older, more laid back songs to be found. "A Woman's Wisdom", "Japanese Alice", "Life of Pause", "Alien", "Adore" and "Whenever I" are must listens.
