Avenged Sevenfold The Stage
The promotion leading up to this album made me pretty excited for it to finally be released. However, the album fell flat for me. The Stage, God Damn, and Creating God are the only memorable tracks on here for me. Matt's voice is barely tolerable, but Syn & Brooks came with so much fire that I can overlook that. It's better than HTTK, but not by much. I'm glad other people seem to like it so much though! I hope it grows on me.

2.0 poor
Avenged Sevenfold Hail to the King
If another band made this album it probably would have been received better by fans, but after seeing what A7X is capable of creatively this album seems lazy and uninspired. I'm hoping the new album out later this year makes up for this half-hearted effort.
Fall Out Boy American Beauty/American Psycho

Great beats & production wasted on boring vocals. A little disappointed.

Kid Cudi Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven
I thought that people were just jumping on the bandwagon and mindlessly bashing this album. I liked most of Kid Cudi's stuff (I skipped the last 2 albums because I stopped caring) & assumed that most of these reviews were exaggerated. 2 tracks in I said to a friend "This isn't so bad" & then she told me there were TWENTY FOUR more songs to go. That was enough to make me put off listening to the rest for a little bit.rI've heard a lot of people talk about how rudimentary the riffs and overall instrumental parts are and that's why they hate this album. I don't know about that. I've been to plenty of punk shows where I was convinced that the "band" had just learned to play their instruments 3 hours before their set time and even they put more soul into their performance than whatever Cudi did here. This is bad because it's lazy and uninspired.
