Billy Joel The Nylon Curtain
Billy Joel The Stranger
Billy Joel Turnstiles
To pick between this and "The Stranger" for Billy Joel's best studio album is challenging. A perfect balance of slow, reminiscent piano pieces and loud energetic rockers.

Wings Wings Over America
This is without a doubt my favourite live album. Granted I don't typically listen to live albums but it's also in my top five most played vinyl records (out of a collection of over 20). rWhat makes "Wings over America" a phenomenal triple live album is the dynamics (ranging from ballads to acoustic [which compiles a whole side] to rocker to pop) and the setlist (the inclusion of five Beatles songs was a good choice and I can honestly say there is only one song that I wish was switched out).rThis is a fantastic choice if you enjoy Paul McCartney and Wings but you don't want to buy all of their studio albums.

David Bowie David Bowie
This debut album lacks energy and creativity. There are albums where the songs thematically and structurally are very similar but all stand out amongst each other (The Band's 1969 eponymous album is my primary example). But in "David Bowie" the songs are all essentially the same (the only one I could differentiate is the one with the sitar on it).
