| powerful, dynamic, harsh noise wall. the subtle changes are easy to adapt to, and they make sure that youre stuck inside the album for the whole trip. the textures are some of the most detailed ive heard in harsh noise wall yet {idk if that says something about me but theres a chance that it absolutely does}. it's also quite an rewarding album {trust me it is}. very easy to get lost in, pretty memorable, and it's a great experience that i would recommend to you. |

| While there is filler padded throughout the tape, each song fits in the tape, even if some of them could've been taken out easily to make the tape much more better. The atrocious mixing, lack of samples, and pretty cheap sounding production really helps make this tape a weird and deranged high that's an one of a kind experience. | now this is some pretty nice harsh noise wall. this album is much more different than the other album ive heard previously from this guy, which was "Bodies Bear Traces of Carnal Violence". while "Bodies Bear Traces of Carnal Violence" wasnt really dynamic, and it had textures that were pretty same-y in the most unappealing way possible, it was still an rewarding listen nonetheless. "Flapper Influence From French Prostitutes" is pretty different from "Bodies", and it's better as well. while "Bodies" relied more on giant walls of noise, "Flapper Influence From French Prostitutes" relies more on creating an dynamic soundscape. the textures here are more interesting, the walls of noise are easy to get lost in and the shifts and changes that happen throughout the two tracks are easy to adjust to. it's an much more dynamic experience as well. rewarding ? yes. dynamic ? yes. interesting ? yes. good ? yes. worth your time ? i'd say so, yea. |

| While discussing polarizing albums to come out of the current age of internet music, "I'll Try Living Like This" would most likely come up in discussion. This thing is very, and I mean very heavy on aesthetics, just look at the album art for god's sake. While putting aesthetics aside, you have to come to the music. Music wise, this album goes on for too long, with a lot of the songs here being about 5 - 6 minutes long, which is strange because generally a song of that length wouldn't feel like a heavy heavy drag. Whatever. The guy's from DDS.WMV do present some interesting ideas here, but they're sloppily executed, underdeveloped, and too noodle-y, making a lot of the songs here come off as quite amateur. Which is sad, because a lot of these songs could have been absolutely face-melting, mind-bending, body-ascending Vaporwave anthems. I mean, yea, sure, the production can sound pretty futuristic at times, but they just constantly pull the "Whoah duuude! We're being reeaally craaazyy! These samples Broooo!" card. Bit of a waste of time. Hopefully these guys further develop and mature their sound to make what they were trying to produce. |

| Interesting experience from Vodka Soap, an alias from Spencer Clark who did work with James Ferraro during the 2000s under The Skaters. This album, for me, further proves that Clark's solo efforts are much more similar to the material from The Skaters over Ferraro's solo efforts. This album {and other albums from Clark} carries a nice, rich, and organic sound and aesthetic that I find to be portrayed in a lot of the music from Skaters. While this album and other albums don't sound anything like an album like "Dark Rye Bread" or "Raising Spheres of Crossing Angel Minds" or "Physicalities of the Sensibilities of Ingrediential Stairways", it does have an very organic tinge to it, but not very primal n hellish. Music wise, this could have been better. I like how it's meandering and very structure-less, the more ethereal moments are quite engaging, and the lofiness of the album is like a nice coat of sugar over it all, but it's not very engaging or memorable. When the moments in the album are hits, they absolutely hit. But the rest just sorta go thru your head and leave no trace which is a negative. I would recommend it, though, and I would say that it's worth a shot. |

| A lot of this shit sounds extremely cheesy. The weird "Field Recordings" of women screaming and knifes/swords/whatever being pulled out, the Synths/Dungeon Synth parts are really cheesy too. The vocals are alright, somewhere in the beginning {Which is Gromow?andy's part of the split} there's some screamo-ish vocals that don't really sound like screamo vocals instead they sound like the vocals that are presented on "^_^" by Hello Kitty Suicide {Not an horrible album, by the way}. Overall this isn't that good, in fact it's quite horrible. Unforgettable, cheesy, extremely gimmicky, and indifferent performances make this thing up. Not good. |

All My Heroes Are Cornballs is Peggy?s most cohesive release to date. A lot of the textures that are presented
throughout the album aren?t very interesting nor too special, and they do get used a lot from what I can tell, so
they do get rather repetitive. These textures are very soft, crackly, slightly wet, and oddly crunchy sounding. A
good half of the album isn?t super memorable. Most of the songs just come and go really. This really comes
down to the lyrics not being very sticky and memorable, the textures being what they are, and a lot of the
production not being super noteworthy. Sure it?s very atmospheric and lush and warm, even surreal and
psychedelic, but most of it just sounds somewhat same-y to me. This could have been 14 - 15 tracks instead of
like 18 or 19 w/e it is so yea. It’s alright 5/10. |
