The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza Thank You, Jason Dietz |
The Tony Danza Tap Dance Extravaganza might not be the best band ever, but they most certainly win the award for the best band name ever. This band (hereby refered to as such) takes grindcore and fuses it with a little bit of metal and Jeff Foxworthy. They're the biggest rednecks ever, hailing from Tennessee and claiming song titles such as "Bill Dance Lands the Big One" and "Tony Little, Jack Daniels, and the Open Road." Said songs are winners, with the rest of the album not trailing too far behind. Or is it an album? I can't tell, because it's so short, at just 22 minutes. Mostly, it's your straight-forward grind riffs and spastic drums while some guy shouts incomprehensibly over top of it all. It's the tried and true formula, and it works. There's nothing really new or unique here, but for what it's worth, they do the job well. |
