How can this not be above 4.5, This career is amazing. This is a 2 disc set trying to cover almost 4 decades? that should be a 10 disc set but this is cramed into two.
Bob Marley and The Wailers Exodus
Many people dont realize that Bob Marley has more music than whats just on Legend. Exodus is a Reggae masterpiece. The heathen, exodus, and waiting in vain are 3 songs that are relatively unheard. This album is a must for reggae fans!
Dave Matthews Band Busted Stuff
Dave Matthews Band Crash
Dave Matthews Band Under The Table And Dreaming
Dave Matthews Band Everyday
Destruction The Antichrist
better production on this than earlier destruction. same good thrash though. and the vocals are almost between a scream and singing voice. very nice. great guitar as well.
Dream Theater Train of Thought
Endless Sacrifice, and In the Name Of God are going to be two of my favorite songs for 20+ years. Just becuase of the musicianship, melody, and sheer talent. This is my favorite dream theater album just above Scenes From A Memory. The long songs grows on you when you really know the song front to back. At first listen the long songs just annoy you, but when you really listen to the song many many times and know the song front to back, you wish they were longer. The 14 minute masterpiece "In the Name of god" have some of the best lyrics ive herd in awhile. somewhat contervercial but i agree with what he says 100%. Vacant, the only song under 7 minutes, and way under, is a nice slow dream theater song. surely not a skipable track. im sure people who actually play guitar, or bass, or drums would appreciate this album more than others but surely people who do not play these instruments will also love this progressive metal band/album

how is Sam Beam not known? that is what i want to know. he should be there with Jack Johnson and James Blunt. I can see many people loving this guy/band, whatever you call him. This cd has 6 good songs, 0 bad ones. Jezebel and Freedom Hangs Like Heaven should be on the radio 24/7. im not ussualy a radio music kind of guy but this sounds like it could be a hit. expecially Jezebel.
also, his image does not match his voice, or style of music. which isnt a bad thing by any means

Opeth's latest release is one of there most diverse releases yet. and saying that its "Opeths" most diverse must mean that its pretty damn diverse! I absolutely LOVE the two slower tracks and the single, and the other 5 are still some of the most beuatiful pieces of music around. If your a opeth fan this is a must, and if your not, this is a lifechanging must becuase it will change your opinoin about this band.

Stadium Arcadium is a massive step up for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, although i shouldnt say that becuase by the way and californication are two of my favorite albums around. i first herd this when my local radio station played the entire album front to back on the radio. instantly said, i must have this. the singles my least favorite on the cd. hard to concentrate, or torture me are 2 of my favorites on this album. the guitar work is a step up and the bass is brilliant as expected from flea. vocals are amazing as they have always been, its just a all out musical heaven. the musicianship is a step up aswell. Which is great.

Fresh out of cream, Page recruited plant, bonham, and jones. all masters of there instrument(s). Having rehearsed this album on tour they recorded in a very short time. This album contains two of the songs that led zep extends to a great length. Dazed and Confused, and you shook me. With the use of acoustic and mind blowing electric guitar, this album is just a stepping stone to the legacy that Led Zeppelin built for themselves. being compared to the masterpieces like 2,4, and P.G. this album looks horrible, but then again put anything next to those 3 albums and you'll get a disgrace. Babe I'm Gonna Leave you will always live to be one of my favorite songs.

Paul McCartney Memory Almost Full
I give Memory Almost Full a four becuase there are many great tracks including House of Wax, and the single Dance Tonight but there are also many poor tracks including graditude. I have been a Mccartney/Beatles fan every since i have been around and this album proves that mccartney can still make some good music.
The song House of Wax is a brilliant song that really show's the emotion of Paul. The two songs following House Of Wax are also great songs. These three songs are piano based songs with some additional instruments.
The fact that Mccartney plays almost every instrument on this album is another thing that can really boost you to give it a listen. There is also a additional four bonus tracks which if you do not have them i would recomend you find them becuase they could easily replace a few of the worse songs on this album. Even if they are instrumental.

no real ballads on here like televators. and no great orchrastra (sp?) work like frances has. but not as atmospheric at frances either, which is a good thing. lots of people dont like the acoustic/spanish song on this album but i love it. not like omar to use a acoustic. ussually massivily effected electric guitar. as expected the vocals stand out. also the rumor about the RHCP guitarist palying the guitar on this album is completely false. yes he does play on here. most of it actually, but omar does the lead's. which is what he is known for anyways so not a big deal.

This album most critisized characteristic is that it repeats over and over, which i can understand how people are saying this. Probably about 35% of the album is just open not breakdowns, but this is just part of who this band is. They can really put on a show with these songs. The drummer can really show his talents even though he is accused in using a trigger for his bass drum. Chug Chug is a amazing song and can really get your adrenalin running! This is a great Death Metal album and should be herd by many Death Metal fans.

Children of bodom would never get a rating higher that 4 from me becuase of the vocals. but the guitar work is always amazing. personally i perfer there other material. alexi laiho is purly amazing. for the people who call this power metal, please stop. it is not. alexi himself said he fu.king hates when people call it that. he see's it as thrash or just metal. thats from a guitar world interview.

Listening to Deerhunter then this is a pretty significant change. This album is extremely ambient. Great for listening to when you don't want to be distracted like during homework or reading or something like that but not that entertaining.
Based largely off loops the songs sounds very similar the first run through. Reading about cox really inspired me to give this album a listen and it didnt meet the standards i had for it.
I gave this a 2.5 based on my opinion in which i usually do not listen to much ambient based music. I like structure and lots of instruments. So if you like ambient music, this ones for you.

R.E.M. Murmur
i really dont see what the hype is about on murmer. ive been a big r.e.m fan since the day i started listening to music (thanks to my dad) and i always like automatic, green, monster, that era of r.e.m. but murmer and reckoning are just not that good imo. "Perfect Circle" and "sitting Still" are good songs but that is it. not the best of a cd. I know many people will disagree with me here, but i think there latest cd "Around the Sun" is better than murmer. I like r.e.m.'s slower songs better though and this is def a faster, more rock album.
