From the beginning to the end, the band mixes in epic ballads along with their collection of speed metal songs. One does not need to know japanese to enjoy this record as the strength of the instrumental itself shines throughout the record. Through listening to Blue Blood, the title track, you can't help but tap your feet to the amazing drumming by Yoshiki. If you want to see how X Japan had influenced japanese music so much that the death of Hide, X Japan's guitarist, is often compared to Kurt Cobain, listen to this album. It is simply a masterpiece.4.5 superbArctic Monkeys Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm NotBloc Party Silent AlarmDamien Rice ODeath Cab for Cutie TransatlanticismGLAY BelovedGuns N' Roses Appetite for DestructionOasis The MasterplanPavement Crooked Rain, Crooked RainPavement Terror TwilightPink Floyd MeddlePink Floyd The WallPulp His 'n' HersR.E.M. At first listen, I actually found similarities between this album and an Architecture in Helsinki album. The album is full of catchy and fun songs. The album continues the display of SM's lyrical genius through songs like "Trojan Curfew" in which he sings about the Trojan war and possibly the best ballad since Pavement's "Grounded," the song "Church on White." This album is a definite must-listen for Pavement fans as SM continues his glorious music career. The Cure BloodflowersThe Flaming Lips Yoshimi Battles the Pink RobotsThe Flaming Lips The Soft BulletinThe Libertines The LibertinesThe Shins Chutes Too NarrowThe Shins Oh, Inverted WorldThe Smashing Pumpkins Mellon Collie and the Infinite SadnessThe Stone Roses The Very Best of The Stone RosesX Japan Dahlia3.5 greatAC/DC Back In BlackAt the Drive-In Relationship of CommandColdplay X&YDirty Pretty Things Waterloo to AnywhereElbow Asleep In The BackFranz Ferdinand You Could Have It So Much BetterGreen Day American IdiotGuns N' Roses Live Era '87-'93Incubus (USA-CA) Make YourselfInterpol AnticsJeff Buckley GraceManic Street Preachers Forever DelayedMeat Loaf Bat Out of Hell II: Back Into HellMichael Jackson HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book IMy Chemical Romance Three Cheers for Sweet RevengePavement Brighten the CornersPavement Slanted and EnchantedPorcupine Tree In AbsentiaPulp This is HardcoreR.E.M.
