Along comes The Kicks. They sound quite like Weezer (mainly because of the singer), but add enough to their music to keep from looking like a cheap rip off. This music is not meant to be taken too seriously. Hell, no powerpop is. Possibly the best music to just drive to that I can imagine. The musicianship is solid and it works for the genre, but the lack of any real solos or too much variation between songs slightly brings down an otherwise great album.
