5.0 classic
Active Child Curtis Lane
There is a awesome new sound coming from Los Angeles. I hope people come and check this guy out. Pat Grossi is the man and this music confirms it.
Active Child You Are All I See
Can't get enough of this album. I think it's the best thing to come from California in a while!
Animal Collective Merriweather Post Pavilion
Avey Tare Down There
Bon Iver For Emma, Forever Ago
Dashboard Confessional So Impossible
Fleet Foxes Fleet Foxes
Gavin Castleton Home
Led Zeppelin Led Zeppelin IV
Modest Mouse The Moon & Antarctica
Nickel Creek This Side
Probably their best album. Too bad they broke up and went their separate ways. They were so good together. This is one of those album that you can pop in the CD player anytime and it will always sound good.
Shearwater The Snow Leopard
Acoustic is fantastic for Shearwater! There is nothing like hearing the pure vocals and solid tone of this guy! I hope more people listen to this because its awesome. I can't say enough about it!
Sufjan Stevens Illinois
Sufjan Stevens All Delighted People
Sufjan Stevens The Age of Adz
The Tallest Man on Earth The Wild Hunt

4.5 superb
Active Child She Was a Vision
New, Innovative and groovin'. Loving every second of these two songs. There are really good ones on their myspace page as well.
Akron/Family Set 'Em Wild, Set 'Em Free
Andrew Bird Noble Beast
Arcade Fire Neon Bible
Band of Horses Cease to Begin
Band of Horses Infinite Arms
Beirut The Flying Club Cup
Ben Folds Rockin' The Suburbs
Ben Lee Ripe
Ben Lee has trouble doing it wrong, as portrayed on "Ripe". He tackles issues that people don't like to sing about such as "American Television" and "Sex without Love". Typical of Lee's albums, one song usually isn't very good, as if the producers what one more song on the album. In ripe, it's "What Would Jay-Z Do", a poppy song without depth, even though the issue is relevant yet dorky. Overall a well pronounced album from Ben Lee. Just listen to the first four tracks and you will understand.
Bon Iver Bon Iver, Bon Iver
Circa Survive Blue Sky Noise
Clogs The Creatures In the Garden of Lady Walton
Coheed and Cambria No World for Tomorrow
Copeland Beneath Medicine Tree
Copeland In Motion
My Favorite Copeland album. Every song adds to this album to make an extremely wonderful sound and excellent quality. The vocals are superb, the tunes are catchy and gripping, and the album just never goes dull.
Copeland Eat, Sleep, Repeat
Dashboard Confessional A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar
Dirty Projectors Bitte Orca
Fleet Foxes Helplessness Blues
Flight of the Conchords Flight of the Conchords
fun. Aim and Ignite
Gavin Castleton A Bullet, A Lever, A Key
Emotional, moving, depressing and lyrically solid. I have never been so enthrolled by spoken words. Gavin can flow and gets straight to the point on what he is talking about. Even the line up of songs in the order they are seems impressive to me. Get this, listen to it and drink afterwards!
Givers In Light
Good Old War Good Old War
Grizzly Bear Veckatimest
Holmes Have I Told You Lately That I Loathe You
Interpol Our Love to Admire
Jamaica No Problem
Joanna Newsom Have One on Me
God this is good. 81' is a flawless song! I'm really impressed by her vocal development and creativity.
MGMT Oracular Spectacular
Nick Drake Five Leaves Left
Nickel Creek Why Should the Fire Die?
Blown away by the shear quality of the sound. They mix it up a little and go with different chord progressions and it turns out fantastic.
Okkervil River The Stage Names
Pavement Quarantine the Past
Phoenix (FRA) Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix
Phosphorescent Here's To Taking It Easy
Radiohead In Rainbows
Rufus Wainwright Want Two
Rufus Wainwright Release The Stars
A very fine and brilliant album. Something Rufus fans have been waiting for!! How he incorporates classical and Indie into one gives this album its unique quality, event though all his albums bring these two genres together. "Going to a Town" is the stand out of this album even though every other song is worth listening to over and over again.
Rufus Wainwright All Days Are Nights: Songs for Lulu
Beautifully done. The piano is flawless and Rufus's classical side shines. Lyrically solid and vocally impenetrable, this album can make you cry and smile at the same time.
Shearwater Rook
Shearwater The Golden Archipelago
Sia We Are Born
Frankly, if my gal is going to listen to pop music, this is what I would want her to listen to. She is a great singer and has good lyrics as well as non-modified vocals and a great upbeat sound.
Sufjan Stevens Michigan
Sufjan Stevens Seven Swans
Sufjan Stevens The Avalanche: Outtakes and Extras
Sufjan Stevens Songs For Christmas
This is unique. Have you ever heard of a Indie musician doing Christmas songs? How about Christian songs? Brilliant!
The Autumn Film The Ship and The Sea
Great music! The vocals are flawless and the band has a somewhat similar sound to Copeland but I'm not one to compare. Oh and chech out their free EP on their website! Why not get it and check it out.

The Black Keys Brothers
The Decemberists The Hazards of Love
The Mountain Goats Heretic Pride
The National Boxer
The Tallest Man on Earth Sometimes The Blues Is Just A Passing Bird
The White Stripes Icky Thump
Tyler Ramsey A Long Dream About Swimming Across the Sea
Original sound, beautiful guitar work, and dynamic and seamless transitions. for being a slower paced album, it keeps you interested the entire way. Stand out tracks are "A Long Dream", "Birdwings", and "Worried".
Vandaveer Dig Down Deep
Such a good album. I saw them in concert two days again and they sound almost identical to the cd. They are an impressive band with a huge amount of talent. Keep an eye on them because they will do some amazing things.

Arcade Fire The Suburbs
Band of Horses Everything All the Time
Beach House Teen Dream
Blitzen Trapper Furr
I love the back country sound they have, but I'm from oregon. The story lines and chord progressions are excellent and engaging. They have a unique sound as well giving them, in my opinion, a leg up in the music industry.

Copeland Know Nothing Stays The Same
Copeland shows that they know how to cover a band. covering Billy Joel is easy to do but not often pulled off well. Copeland does it well, and with their own style and grace.

Balmorhea Constellations
Good album. As a first time listener to this band, I'm diggin it and liking the sound.
Beirut March of the Zapotec/Holland
Ben Harper and Relentless7 White Lies for Dark Times
It's pretty good. The middle of the album is the strongest but the beginning and the end didn't hold my interest. I'll give it another shot though.
Bibio Ambivalence Avenue
Bill Callahan Sometimes I Wish We Were An Eagle
So far, its haunting and mellodramatic. Something I could get into. I've never listened to Bill Callahan before so its a good first impression.

Calvin Harris Ready For The Weekend

I really like the beginning of this album, but as it progresses it starts to drag a little.
Josiah Leming Angels Undercover
For a kid who as no schooling in music and was on American Idol, he isn't that bad. Actually, I'm surprised to find myself really enjoying this EP. The last few songs lose some stamina lyrically, but they still work alright.

Metric Fantasies
Murder by Death Good Morning, Magpie

The upbeat tempo and driven beat give Junior it's power and draw. I'm really enjoying "This must be it".
Sara Bareilles Kaleidoscope Heart
She and Him Volume Two
Stars The Five Ghosts
Sufjan Stevens Enjoy Your Rabbit
Definitely not his best probably due to the fact that he went out on a limb with Enjoy Your Rabbit. Listen to Year of the Dog, pretty much the best song on the album
The Bravery The Sun and the Moon
The Knife Tomorrow, In a Year
The Twilight Sad Killed My Parents and Hit the Road
Its fairly good. I perfer the studio album, but this live album is nice.

Not the best album i've heard but i'll give it a few more tries and see what comes about.
The Ruby Suns Fight Softly
Fight Softly is a nice departure for their previous album, but doesn't leave you feeling complete. There is something missing in the way they did this album. It feels like the musicians were distracted.

Not that great. I feel like i've been cheated out of a good hour or so. They have to do better lyrically and be more original.
The Ghost War Kids
The Whigs In The Dark
Timbaland Timbaland Presents Shock Value
Tindersticks Falling Down a Mountain
Sorry, This was dull and sardonical. Didn't peak my interest very much at all. They were a few songs that i could listen to more than once, but frankly, I wasn't impressed at all.

2.0 poor
Ben Lee The Rebirth of Venus
Kele The Boxer
N.A.S.A. The Spirit of Apollo
The Gaslight Anthem American Slang
I don't see how this album has any standing above a 3. I lost interest 2 songs into it and listened to the rest just to give my honest opinion. Nothing impressive, nothing great, and absolutely nothing to give a 4.0 about. Give me something worth while to listen to rather than this.

1.5 very poor
